Well located for tourist sites such as the Brandenburg Gate and Holocaust Memorial; actually adjacent to the site of Hitler's bunker! Our large apartment was spacious, if a little austere, but had all we needed, though one bathroom and toilet might be a challenge for 10 people. The cafe on the ground floor is so-so for breakfast, but a much...

This Gmbh rents out a huge number of appartments that are spread out over a couple of East Berlin-style buildings between the Behrenstrasse and the An der Kollonade. And it seems it makes a difference which appartment you get. We were given G4-0701, a two bedroom on the Gertrud Kolmarstrasse, 7th floor. And it was just fine. Spacious, clean and...

Stayed in the three bedroom apartment. Spacious, clean and well appointment; nothing fancy but when traveling with four boys under 14 that is the last thing to consider. Check in and out were simple. Neighborhood is clean and safe with a great supermarket, some restaurants, and a nice mall. Holocaust Memorial and remnants of the real Wall in walking distance...

We had booked a 3 bedroom apartment for our party, but the third 'bedroom' was actually a landing/mezzanine level upstairs which others needed to use to get to their bedroom. I think there was a sofa and coffee table in this area in the pictures! At least the beds and bedlinen were really clean and comfortable. The living area was...

Internet/WiFi - We arrived for a 5 night stay and were informed the internet was down for the past 2 days but would be up and going tomorrow morning. We left having no internet and being lied to by DIEAPART GMBH management people every single day saying it was out of their hands and should be working tomorrow. I have...

Me, my two sisters, mum and Nan have just got back from staying in Berlin, our stay was very pleasant I couldn't fault the apartment at all. Firstly I couldn't get over the size of the apartment, we had a three bedroom apartment as there was five of us, we had plenty of space, with that in mind I was...

We stayed here for the Christmas Markets and it was excellent. The location is perfect. Walking distance to everything. The apartments were clean, very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed as a group of 8 women and found the area very safe. Staff very friendly. Only one bad thing from the whole experience is that checkin is...

Stayed here as a family of four for three nights - it's perfectly placed for exploring Berlin, close to the u-Bahn and in walking distance of many of the sights if you're reasonably mobile. Apartment was spacious and very clean with well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable too. Staff at the office were friendly and helpful. We arrived after hours...

Came here with 6 other friends and we're easily & comfortably accommodated, the apartment was very clean. I've never been in a better location anywhere with several attractions a couple of minutes away. Only criticism is that we couldn't get the wifi to work but wasn't a big deal as there was free wifi everywhere in Berlin.

We stayed here for a few nights at the beginning of April and from the moment we arrived we couldn't fault it! After emailing ahead to ask, the staff allowed us to check in at 10am (instead of 3pm-6pm) and were efficient and polite at check out too. The apartment itself was huge (block 75, apartment 1 on 5th floor)-...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
