This hostel was absolutely wonderful--- from the super clean facilities, the ample space, garden, comfortable beds, quiet sleeping space (after a fun night out with other guests of course), desk staff, and overall vibe. We loved everyone that worked there, but especially Nick because we passed him often when we came in and out of the hostel. He was so...

The staff were friendly, it was clean. I m not rating it higher because few activities where organized and if they were it was just outsourced to other companies. Location wasn't the best either..... most things where a 15 min walk away or train ride away. I didnt meet as many people as I normally do at this hostel

hi there such a pity you checked out already. We had free dinner parties all week long... Please understand, such a small hostel as ours has to outsource some activities like walking tours to specialised companies. They just do it much much better. We are great at providing accomodation , others are great at showing you the city and explaining...

Pros 1.Clean and spacious dorms 2.Excellent vfm breakfast 3.Located very close to U bahn station Cons 1.The staff are very professional are helpful. But they always look busy and its like you are in a hotel and not a hostel.(example: in many hostels they explain you about the major sights in the city while they hand you the map). This...

Me and my boyfriend stayed in one of the double-rooms for 3 nights and had a great time. We did not participate in any activities arranged by the hostel but I can imagine this is also great for single travelers as there is a large common room and a daily list of activities. We especially enjoyed the area that had...

I stayed 4 nights and had an all round perfect time. Staff were extremely friendly and super helpful. By mistake I had a made a reservation for 3 different rooms for 4 nights. Even though the hostel was almost fully booked staff made it possible - with a lot of time and effort - to adjust my booking so I...

Nice location, very kind staff, confortable and very clean rooms. Toilets are cleaned twice a day. The breakfast costs 3 euros - it is simple but good. You can also eat nearby, some places have discount if you're guest of the hostel. Cheap drinks during happy hour. Good interaction among guests. I would come back and totally recommend!

It is basically spotless. Not a party hostel. It is very close to public transport and in two stops you reach "Alexanderplatz". The place is very clean and well organised. They gave you a little hint sheet and there are tonnes of brochures available. If you get the top floor you have a feeling of being in the house of...

My partner and I have stayed in many hostels over the years and this is one of the best. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The room we had was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean, good shower, even had a shaving mirror! Communal areas well equipped and very comfortable. The whole place has a terrific welcoming vibe leaving us...

Would really recommend this hostel, really clean and organised, nice people, helpful staff and good location, 2 mins away from Lidl and a nice kitchen so good was to save money but still lots of lovely restaurants and bars around too. Definitely would stay here again!

The staff was extremely friendly and the overall atmosphere was SO good. Everyone staying here was sociable and talkative, so it's a great place to stay if you're traveling solo and want to meet other international travelers. But on the other hand, the hostel itself besides the common lounge is very quiet and peaceful, so it's a perfect place to...

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
