We reached early in the morning and the rooms were not yet ready since the earlier guests had not left yet. That was anyway our expectation and we just wanted to dump our luggage and start our tour of the city. The staff were very friendly with the man at the reception offering us a place to freshen up and...

Stayed two nights at this lovely hotel. Located very close to bus and train links, this hotel is very clean and deceptively huge! I had a double room which I shared with my partner and within was two single beds pushed together and a decent sized bathroom with a large shower. The breakfast is served from 7am to 10pm and...

Not far away from Berlin's vivid downtown, with a rather kitsh decor which referring to the russian last royal family. Small single rooms with tiny beds (i may harm my body) and not enough dark to have a good sleep. Average and very poor breakfast, not to recommend!

We were looking for a place to stay after sightseeing tour on foot in the center of Berlin. It was last minute booking for us with 50% off the price, so we feel that it was a bargain for the location and quality you get, but at full price I would be more picky. At the reception they have a...

We were a group of 11 people who booked 2 deluxe quadruple rooms and a deluxe triple room. Luckily 2 of us dropped out as otherwise it would have been impossible for us all to fit. The sofa beds in the deluxe quadruple rooms can only take a person small in size with the rooms being exceptionally small. Hats off...

We usually use AirBnb but were late in booking, so we chose this hotel because our room had a kitchen and free wifi (unlike a more modern competitor that offers only 30 free minutes a day). The kitchen was minimally furnished with adequate dishes but no cutting board and a knife rack with no sharp knives. It had a small...

The room was very small, as the bed, and an electric socket wasn't working. Some long hairs were still on the bathroom flour... The price was more expensive than hotels with new equipements, bright and clean rooms and with better location.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be perfectly located for discovering Berlin. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to book this hotel again if ever I return to Berlin.

This apartment style was very central and very clean. It was so easy to get around Berlin from here. The area was safe and lovely as well. We found the price was very good for the amenities given and the bathrooms were huge. We even had towel warmers, A/C, and a little balcony. WiFi was free.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Handy to both s Bahn and u Bahn, yet not far to walk either to some lovely eating places. Felt safe at all times. The only disappointment we had was the lack of utensils to cook and eat with. It had 2 element stove and microwave but no mixing bowls or microwave containers and...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
