Used this hotel for my Fruit Logistica 2017 trip. Have been traveling to Berlin for many years. This hotel is located in a old building in Meinecke str. This is the side road at the Hard Rock Cafe. So really central. You can walk every where on kufurstendam. If you want a holiday inn type hotel this place is not...

Being too fast I booked a room here instead of Savoy hotel where I stayed last time, (a 4 stars hotel). The price was very low, but I kept the reservation out of curiousity. The building including the lift is from 1900, and so is the hotel. Impressive entrance downstairs, an iconic lift brings you up to the small reception...

The hotel / restaurant / cigar bar cater to exhibition attendees The premises are a little tired and service is pleasantly amateurish. I met several friends for dinner...the restaurant is quite elegant, BUT the food is "adventerously mediocre" The menu is confusing and the chefs interpretation of dishes is "different" . The service is somewhat obsequious and patchy.....The hotel/pension caters...

I didn't expect too much of this hotel, given the low prices. Must say I was a little sceptical after the first impression too. But after two nights I was very happy about my choice. Good bed, shower works, clean and tidy, even though furniture etc was a bit old. The double room I had was much bigger than other...

This is a great hotel to stay when visiting Berlin. Public transport (bus and U-bahn) is just around the corner or just walk to the shops in the neighborhood. We took a three person room. The rooms are really spacious. Although it is too bad the hotel has saved money upon its furniture, like the 3rd person bed which was...

Perfect Location just off Kurfürstendamm. And very stunning entry in this Art Nouveau builing. Unfortunately, this is it. Staff not very friendly (in fact the night receptionist was even complaining that we interrupted his nap when we came back late ?!). Our room was tiny as a compartment. And in the morning we missed the breakfast Breakfast is only served...

We went to the cigar bar and drank fizz while our hubbies had an inside smoke for once. The staff were helpful, friendly and all looked like models. We spent an hour and a half people watching and inventing back stories for all the other guests. Super relaxing and made us feel like we were in a PG Wodehouse novel....

Great location, close to public transportation (U Bahn and S Bahn, bike rentals) and nice neighbourhood (restaurants, shopping, etc). It is not a hotel, more like a pension, but the room was ok, good breakfast buffet. Overall good value for money. Recommand for short-period stay in Berlin.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
