We booked 5 rooms at this house, for 3 nights. Very nice location in Kreuzberg near Gorlitzer park, walking distance from metro stations, a lot of cafes and restaurants around. Rooms are very clean and equipped with everything that is necessary. Very good for short stays (not sure about the longer ones, when kitchen and more space is needed). The...

We travelled here with friends so there were 3 rooms booked. From my point of view I couldn't fault the accommodation. The room was spotless and nice and warm. We had to turn the radiators down as it did become quite stuffy in there at times but that was only when we were getting coats on etc to go out...

The apartment itself is nice and clean, but if you are in the apartment near to reception do not expect much sleep. All night you can hear people dragging their godamn bins (yes I'm tired!) and shouting etc. Also it's a disabled access room so no proper Shower cubicle which means water gets everywhere. The bed is nice and large...

Apartment is a bit of an exaggeration - these are studio rooms with a very small kitchen area (without an oven or proper worktop space). Towels are provided which are nice and 'toiletries' are too - but these are one very small bottle of all-in-one soap for each person - so bring your own. Room not cleaned whilst you are...

I normally stay in Mitte but because of work, which was around the corner, I decided to stay in this apartment. I was there for 10 days and the rooms didn't get cleaned during this period. For anything extra (clean towels) you needed to pay extra. The apartment is basic, with Ikea furniture and a small kitchen. For me it...

We didn't want to stay in the centre and played a blinder when we chose this place. Right on the Park, loads of bars and quirky restaurants within a 15 min walk. Room large with a big enough bed to accommodate two wriggly people. Little kitchen where we made breakfast and lunch happily. Good security. Smiley staff. Immaculately clean. Decent...

My boyfriend and I just got back from our first trip from Berlin. We stayed here for four nights. The apartment was clean, modern and quiet. Our flight was delayed on our arrival so we had to check in late. Staff were very helpful and arranged for our keys to be kept in a safe box. The only downside was...

If we were in our twenties, we might have thought this place just about adequate, but as we are pensioners it was totally inappropriate. The reservation was made for us and we did not choose it ourselves, but we should have researched it more carefully. While the accommodation is pretty poor, the location is really terrible. First, the accommodation. While...

The apartment itself was very modern & clean and in a good location in Kreuzberg just a short walk from the busiest parts (we particularly liked the area around Schlesisches Tor for bars & restaurants & street art). I will however point out that the location next to Gorlizter Park is far from ideal as it is full of men...

Stayed here for our first trip to Berlin. Four nights. Room was clean and very well equipped. The only negative was the HIDDEN cleaning charge of €30, our room was never once cleaned or fresh towels provided!! and we had to take TP from public toilet in the evenings as no one on the desk after certain time. We arrived...

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
