Spent a few nights there with my husband and baby. The hotel is nice, clean and comfy, not a 5 stars but good value for the money. I booked on the hotel website and got a good rate including breakfast. Breakfast was good but i wouldn't say exceptional (cf. some of the other reviews). Got a courtyard room and though... More

This is really great hotel for great price on a great location. Potsdamer Platz is cca 15 min on foot away. We didn't have breakfast, because it is kind of too expensive (cca 20 eur per person). If you come by car, it is a good idea to reserve a parking space in advance. It is charged 20 eur per... More

This modern hotel has a twist of traditionalism, and is located just a 5 minute walk away from Potsdamer Platz U-Bahn Station. The Potsdamer Plarz area is pretty central, and all main tourist attractions are within easy reach by foot, U-Bahn or S-Bahn, and is probably a great area to consider for first-time visitors to the city. The hotel is... More

Visted this hotel with two teenagers. Very unusual 70's style decor. Large room. Bathroom wall entirely of glass bricks. Not for your maiden aunt! Great service from reception. Able to have adaptor free of charge. Able to pay for Berlin Welcome Card at reception. Great location near Potsdamer Platz and ready access to S and U stations. The public transport... More

Stayed in 8 different hotels across Europe and this was by far the best value I found. Location was great, staff extremely helpful and the hotel was fabulous. The rate I found on Expedia was exceptional. Great way to see Berlin is to rent a bike from the hotel and pedal around to see everything. It's the most bike-friendly city... More

10 minute stroll to Potsdammer Platz made location easy for accessiing central Berlin. Hotel had a rather uninspiring exterior but rooms were absolutely fine. Reception, and staff in restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Only had breakfast but good choice of fresh quality items with chef on hand to cook eggs etc. Only downside was the dark and gloomy bar... More

Sloppy, rude and uniformed staff. Super expensive wi-fi and the restaurant is exceptionally depressing. If you get a room at a good rate go there but don't expect any kind of professional service.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
