Great location for seeing all of Berlin on foot; Western centrum and Eastern centrum are both easily reached by foot. Great staff and luxiorious rooms! And the most amazing breakfast in town! Make sure to have an omelette freshly made
The hotel is nice and nicely located. But a few things do not add up even if it's COVID period. Let me list those: - No Bar or restaurant before 6pm - When asking 3 times for someone to fix the heating in the room no one shows up - When asking the reception what's the phone number for room service, they gove you the number but do not offer to transfer the call ... - When apparently paying an AMEX and doing quick check-out does not work anymore. Hence I had to transfer the money and i'm still waiting for my final invoice ... - Cleaning in the room done suboptimaly
Did a short stay in this hotel with my wife. This is a good, classic hotel not to far from Potsdamer Platz. Our room was spotlessly clean. Noisy air condition. Small pillows. When it comes to loyalty elite recognition, the Accor drink vouchers were only handed out after I asked for them. No welcome gift was delivered to the room either. Professional service in the hotel bar. But all in all a good hotel experience.
Its a good Location , very close to the train station. The hotel is a bit old , the carpet etc. seems old too. Usually short staffed, but that seems like a common thing in Germany, the front desk staff seem to help with supplying any house keeping requests. All in all pretty average experience.
The hotel has a convenient localization test to Sban station. My room was upgraded to a suite with a large bathroom including tub and separate shower. The design is old but ok. Great breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. The staircase is impressive.
We arrived at the hotel Tired after hours of drive in Berlin, because the whole city was closed because of the central marathon. When we arrived and asked for a room, the receptionist told us he couldnt help us, that we had to book trough booking. So we did, but the system wasnt able to find the reservation. After a 30 min wait i asked the reception to help us with the booking, but still they did not communicate with me. Three people behind the reception was talking to each other in german, not once looking at me, or telling me what was going on. Finally the reservation went trough, and we went to the room and found it not worthy a four star hotel, stains at the sofa and carpet. No iron, or toilet stuff like conditioner or lotion included. No childrenrobes like at the pictures at the website. Next day i told them about the room and bad service and how they made us feel unwelcome when they didnt communicate or even look at us when we arrived. That the stay was not worth the 350 euro one night costed us. But still nothing, no sorry, no compensation, no communication, no nothing. So we checked out and will never return there again. Next day we went for the novotel just a few minutes away, and the room and service was outstanding, and for less than half the price we payed at Mövenpick. So i recomend you to not come here!…
Generally a good experience. Our room was on the inside courtyard and quiet apart from idiots in the next room having the TV on all night. Nice room, pillows are flat which doesn’t suit everyone. No issue with the glass wall in the bathroom. The room could have done with a deep clean as there were stains (blood?) on the curtains. The housekeeping was very efficient with the bed made and everything cleaned each day. We had a safe and a small fridge in our room as well as a kettle which was great. I couldn’t justify spending €22 on breakfast. There are some cafes nearby. Macary coffee is good. Also a nearby Aldi and Edeka which sell stuff to take away. Location is great - near Anhalter Banhof - on the S-Bahn good accessibility and lifts from the platform to just opposite the hotel. Staff were very pleasant. The only issue was a batshit crazy guest who told us we couldn’t use the lift as the same time as his baby. Only one lift was working, so a pain.…
I was recently in Berlin for two weeks and stayed at the Movenpick Hotel near Potsdamerplatz. The hotel itself is right off of Anhalter S‐Bahn station. The front desk team were phenomenal, especially a gentleman called Takimann (I know I just butchered his name - please forgive me for doing it). There wasn't anything we asked for without them getting it in two or three mins. Kudos to the Movenpick management for finding such amazing individuals. The room was also nice, but needs a bit of updating, especially the shower. The shower head didn't remain in place and kept sliding down the pole. There were also a couple of towel hangers that fell off (before we got there). Overall, if I'm ever back in Berlin, Movenpick will be my first choice of hotel to stay at.
(1) We requested a room not under the roof, and had called the Reception to confirm; still, we got a small room with an incline and could not even stand straight near the bed. We believe that the hotel assigns rooms based on the ethnicity of the guests, very unfair. (2) There were no amenities on the bathroom counter, surprising for a 4-star hotel. (3) in the middle of shower, the shower gel ran out! (4) The wash basin had plumbing problem and water could not drain.
This hotel is very well situated in Berlin center. The services are excellent, The room is very comfortable and with space. The breakfast is various and has all you want to eat to begin your visit of berlin.
