Both myself and my partner (both 22) visited Berlin for the first time for 3 days (4 nights). The hotel is easily accessible by train (closest station is Charolttenburg) or by 45 minute taxi (roughly €50-€60), and is located in a quiet side street, but very close to the city centre and main attractions. Hotel is Scandinavian themed, has a lovely peaceful atmosphere and very friendly staff, who went above and beyond to answer any questions we had. Although check-in and check-out times are displayed on Booking.com, they desk is manned 24/7 and they are very flexible. The rooms are cosy, perhaps on the smallish side, but very suitable for a couple and a place to rest in between days of exploring the city. The beds are VERY comfortable and soft; we unfortunately didn’t have a double bed, but two singles pushed together. This wasn’t an issue, but it may have been nice to have an option to provide a double duvet rather than two singles if it is a room shared by a couple. Very powerful waterfall shower. The bathroom is very modern, and is separated by sliding frosted glass partitions. This was absolutely fine for us as a couple and what we expected, as it is clearly advertised as so on Booking.com. However this may be an issue if you are sharing a room with someone in which you would like more privacy whilst using the bathroom. We didn’t pay for breakfast included, but given the option to use this service and pay at the end of our stay. Breakfast runs from early to late morning, plenty of options of hot food (bacon, eggs, sausage), pastries and breads, fresh fruit, a selection of cold meats and cheeses, yogurt, cereal and even a waffle maker! Very reasonable at €12 pp (have included an image). Overall, very happy with the stay, and feel that it is good quality for money paid — the only reason why we didn’t score this hotel at 5 stars is that we felt it could be a good addition to have a small kettle, and complimentary coffee, tea and milk in the room, to in the evenings. Recommendations: The 24 hour train tickets is only €8.80, can be bought from any station, and allows you to travel as often as possible on both the overground and underground. Download the ‘BVG Fahrinfo: Routes and Tickets’ app (yellow and black app icon). It lets you plan journeys on the overground and underground trains, see the most convenient route to get from A to B, how much the ticket will cost, and when and where the trains departs from. Take the train from Charlottenburg to Hackescher Markt- lots of lovely restaurants to eat in (especially ‘Barist’) and a lovely spot by the river to sit on deckchairs in the sun and order some drinks in ‘James-Simon-Park’ (have included an image). Really good Chinese restaurant ‘Lychee’, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Lovely atmosphere and amazing food.…
Visited Berlin for a week with my girlfriend. The room was great for the price, stayed for a whole week. Had no issues what so ever, great atmosphere and the quality of the room exceeded the price. The area is very accessible with plenty of bars/restaurants around. Had a great time and definitely will book again next time we come to Berlin again.
We came here for 3 nights recently and the room we stayed in was lovely. Very well presented, quiet, comfy and a nice powerful shower. On arrival we were met by a receptionist (Andrea - or very similar name) She was shockingly rude. She was very blunt and abrupt and when she couldn't read my handwriting she barked at me "how dare you, this is a document, how am I meant to read this" It wasn't even that bad so sounds like a reading issue she needs to work on herself. She then aggressively slid the room passes to us and didn't let us get another word in before moving on to the next customer. In every hotel I have stayed in I have never received such terrible customer service. Reading other recent reviews if seems like this is a common issue here. For clarity, this was Andrea who seemed to be the lady on reception in the evening. The different lady who checked us out in the morning was great. For the room alone I would give this hotel a 5 star. Due to Andrea's shocking customer service I have to downgrade it to a 2. Round of applause for Andrea.…
This is Me and my Girlfriends first holiday away to celebrate my 18th. We where meet with a shouting lady who demanded 80 euros for tourists tax, I handed 80 euros and she screamed: "No, No 8" She then facepalmed herself and continued to bark out. We were given a room key for 503, as I walked up to the room I opened the door to see people belongings and people sleeping. I was shocked and headed down to reception, very confused and worried as i thought they had double booked. We told the Angry Lady and she said "NO! No! Cleaner". We had just heard another compliant coming for an english woman who had paid extra for more rest but she couldnt sleep over the constant hoovering. Continuing to explain that someone is alreay in ourt room she laughed and so '' 502". Poor Staff and a lack of room features such as kettle tea bags, lets this hotel down as the room was nice.…
Clean rooms simpel and tasty breakfast good vibes and nice naborhood, supermarket nearly Pollait reception and very kind.. Very good value for money 15 minutes walking from the city zoo and much more attractions . 5 min walking from the u matro and the s up train
Quite possibly the strangest hotel experience ever. The hotel was a building site. Rooms in process of being refurbished but no bathroom walls or door. No restaurant or bar facilities. Hard to believe the hotel allowed guests to stay in such a hazardous environment
Unhelpful staff (Ladies), utter crap room that smells really bad and compromised my health. The staff didn't want to change my room claiming that the rooms were fully booked which was a lie. Would never come back.
Good price for what you get, a little bit tired just needs a bit of attention, clean rooms towels changed every day. No iron so have to do ironing behind reception very weird. Down stairs bfast room looks very inviting only 9€ Vending machines with drinks crisps sweets chocolates
+ Very nice location ( 2 minutes from Kurfurstendamm), quiet place, near you can find many markets, bus stops, walking area is perfect. Good breakfast, which is served from 6:30 to 11, and there's very helpful young girl working in the kitchen :) Comfortable beds, and very clean hotel ! Safety box and elevator are available Nice staff, which is trying to help you, and nice housekeepers. - We booked standart twin room, but got double. That wasn't big problem for us, but wasn't so comfortable. No AC (it was very hot and we couldn't do anything ) , no minibar (if you want to buy some products - you can't, and room was smaller than we saw in pictures. But (!) :) we loved and love Berlin too much and don't pay attention to some small things. We'll come back to your hotel again:)
