We chose this hotel because of its location. It is half a block away from Rosenthaler Platz, which is a stop on the U-Bahn line U8, on several tramway lines and bus lines. It is located on the boundary between city districts Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. It is within walking distance of Bernauer Straße and its Berlin Wall Memorial (Gedenkstätte...

Very well located hotel, close to public transportation, with compact but smart designed rooms. No noise from the street. Kind and flexible service. People looking for a stylish and modern place to stay will definitely like it.

Superb hotel (4.5 stars). Excellent service....and great location, right across a U Bahn station. Plus tons of shops and restaurants in the area. And you are 2 subway stops from Alexander Platz. Can't ask for a better emplacement.

Just returned from a stay here, and would certainly return! Hotel is in a great location, slightly outside the 'centre' but busy enough in its own right 30 seconds from the tube stop. Lovely and clean, fresh sheets and towels each of our 4 days. Reception, decor and building is very nice. Staff on reception were helpful and easy to...

The hotel is perfectly located, in the nice and trendy area of Prenzlauer Berg. There are loads of nice restaurants and shops just nearby, and a tube station (Rosenthaler Platz) in front of it. The hotel itself has a trendy/fashion vibe, with black walls, fireplace and leather sofas. It is very welcoming, but I would not call it homely. The...

Nice welcome gift Despite small rooms, great amount of storage Windows that open Good food/ drinks at the bar and for breakfast Minor con: Lighting in the entryway is a bit dim...

Definitely love the breakfast and the lobby! Location is triple A! Rooms are a bit small and basic, also the bathroom. TV could be bigger. But in general a good and well located hotel! Service is friendly.

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights. As previous reviews, the hotel IS in a great location, with loads of nice bars, restaurants and shopping, all on your doorstep. HOWEVER, on the 2 night (Saturday) they had a huge party in the main restaurant which none of the guests were given prior warning about, or that the restaurant...

Two nights at Hotel Mani. The first evening was fine. The second night was dreadful, the hotel hosted a private party which in itself is not an issue, however, the hotel neglected to tell guests in advance, and allowed the party to continue with the music at full blast until 01:30am. Completely ignoring guest complaints to turn the music down....

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
