The location of the hotel is perfect only a few minutes walk to the Parisier platz. If you're looking for something different in your hotel look no further! Each room is different and has a different concept, making this a hotel you'll not forget. Only downside is that it's right next to a railway line, but you are given ear...

This is an interesting hotel, close to the centre, five minutes on foot, and in a pleasant area with little cafe's a shops. The staff are very helpful - the rooms are comfortable. However some are very close to the railway and the service is frequent. Having said that greatly enjoyed our three night stay. Hired bikes and cycled all...

We were supposed to be in Germany two full days but our trip got cut short because of Ryan Air strikes. Nevertheless the staff was very helpful with our late arrival and even kept a note at the front desk that was left from our aunt who lives in Berlin. Great location to the metro station and the main train...

This is not your normal hotel for sure, you notice this as soon as you walk through the door and see a giant horse's muzzle poking through the wall and then sat on a shelf is a pair of legs dangling from a cardboard box. but it suited me. This is an art lovers hotel and there is art everywhere....

Perfect location (minutes from Brandenburg Gate)... first class staff ... very helpful ... first class restaurant / breakfast next door ... strange decor but well explained due to its 'art links' ... 5 star!!

Really nice and not badly priced hotel near the main railway station. We stayed in aircraft-themed L-UISE room and it was so cool, floating beds and decorated with old airplane parts. Only problem was that it was really hard to find food or drinks near the main station after 10pm, the area is like a big construction site. The hotel...

The hotel is very close to Brandenburg gate so the location is fantastic. We had to share a bathroom and so if you prefer privacy then pay the extra. The room we were in was a little noisy as it was very close to the train tracks- the hotel do provide you with earplugs to deal with the noise. The...

Quirky rooms. A bit dated but interesting. Lobby was nice though. No elevator and long stairs up to room. Communal bathrooms were fine. Our room had an airplane bed and interesting decor. Smaller room.

The grounds are open and clean. There's some coffee and tea you make yourself for one euro. The room we stayed in was nice, with high ceilings and a safari feel. The staff was helpful and respectful. I really enjoyed my stay, and when I (hopefully) return to Berlin, I will stay here again.

I loved staying in this fantastic hotel for 4 nights! I'd booked a specific room (No. 206- 'Caberet') by emailing the hotel directly, they replied promptly and professionally and the room didn't dissapoint. It was spacious, decorated like a 'love hotel' with a decadent red theme and lots of curious details including three vampy manniquins. Slightly bonkers and not for...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
