Tremendous hotel. Close to the train station, classy shops, the zoo, bus tours, etc. Very trendy, clean and good facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. As like most cities, Berlin , near the stations has several homeless people, just be careful. Room facilities were great….. brilliant shower!
I liked my bright room and the comfortable bed and especially the nice little gym in the basement which was empty every time I went early in the morning! HOwever, the breakfast buffet definitely lacks variety and options. I asked for a basic like nuts, but the people working at the restaurant that morning said that they didn't have any. Also, the fruit and veg weren't the fresest/ the best quality. I complained about it at check out and got a bag of trail mix (so they did have nuts after all...) to go, which was super kind. Even for non-vegans, the selection at breakfast is rather small for a hotel in this category.
Everything was fine until I checked out. I stayed in 2 IHG hotel groups in the last 2 weeks for business and both times I experienced some kind of D&I-related micro agressions from the staffs handling my check-out. IHG group might want to reinforce their D&I and unconscious bias training on their customer-facing staffs. Wanted to check out, gave my room card and the staff scanned it, then proceeded to reconfirm if I had taken one bottle of water. I disagreed as I did not take anything from the mini bar nor from the cafe. He asked 2-3 more times about the water to which I keep saying no, and countered with his rather judgemental expression as if I am trying to avoid paying a mere 3-4 euros worth of water. Then he moved on to say the total amount of price I need to pay for the stay - to which I countered with another disagreement as I already paid when I checked in. Instead of suspecting that he is looking at the wrong name and room number, he proceeded to insist that I indeed have not paid with a very judgemental tone. When I paid in the beginning I did not receive the receipt - but I had the receipt from the card payment. Showed him the receipt and it was, as I have suspected, he was looking at the wrong room number - and yes I did not lie, I really already have paid. He blamed it on the system and it could have been a real honest mistake - but he could have handled it more professionally instead of judging / immediatelly assuming a dishonest act based on, possibly, my appearance and nationality. Very unfortunate to happen with what is supposed to be a four star hotel.…
We stopped here in February 2022 for our 32nd wedding anniversary. In terms of location, it is very easy to get to being a short walk from the train station at zoologischer garten making it a cinch to get here from the airport. We arrived before check in time and they were perfectly happy to look after our luggage for us and gave us a phone call when the room was ready. We couldn't find fault with the room - clean and comfortable. Good shower, mini fridge, fast, reliable wi fi. If I had to level any criticism at all it would be the lack of English channels on the TV and not being able to connect our own HDMI cable to the back of the set- this was only a minor problem though. The room does have a safe which is a bonus. One one occasion it would not accept the code but after a quick trip to reception they were up within a few minutes to resolve the issue. Breakfast was a treat - self service cold menu plus toast etc and a cooked warm breakfast brought to your table - just right to set you up for the day. If I was to ever return to Berlin I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again Thank you for a lovely break…
Very friendly and warm welcome at reception Room excellent with comfortable bed, super walk in rain shower, coffee maker etc. The décor in the room and throughout the hotel is top notch. Housekeeping is first rate Breakfast was good with usual selection meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, scrambled eggs and pancakes etc. Location is ideal, near the Kudamm and very near to the Zoo station, with direct trains to the airport. Looking forward to returning.
It's a no brainer. - great location near Kudamm / Zoologischer Garten, easy to reach by train from the BER airport - very clean and safe feeling hotel - very fair prices But the best... Fantastic friendly and helpful people who work there. We where so happy that we found the hotel for a reasonable price, as we enjoyed the stay very much. The staff is extremely friendly - I mean it feels just like really natural friendly. The breakfast provided a great start for the day and the room was just offering what we where looking for. No doubt we will stay here again. Thank you very much
Hotel Indigo Ku'damm is in such a convenient location being a few minutes walk from both Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten and Kurfürstendamm. I had a very good welcome to the hotel, recognised as a IHG Spire Ambassador member and I was given a two-tier upgrade to an executive room on 6th floor which was much appreciated. The room was fabulous, very quirky and totally expected from an Indigo Hotel. There was everything in the room needed for an enjoyable stay with some added extras like a tassimo machine and a welcome fruit platter, I also received a personalised card from the hotel thanking me for my stay with them. The balcony was quite sizeable with lovely views of the surrounding area, it would be great in the summer but unfortunately too chilly to enjoy when I visited in November. The bathroom was fine with a powerful shower and a selection of hand pump shampoo/shower gel dispensers provided. I enjoyed my stay at the Indigo Ku'damm immensely, the location is unbeatable, the staff members were approachable and proactive & the room was well appointed and extremely comfortable.…
We booked the best room category that is Executive. The flexible rate was 104 euros per night including breakfast. There are six Executive rooms on the top 6th floor. The rooms are small but Executive rooms have a spacious balcony which is a big bonus if the weather is nice. The bathroom was functional with an excellent rain shower and daylight coming from the big window. The breakfast was quite average but you could order omelets or fried eggs without an extra charge. As an IHG Platinum member, there was a welcome gift waiting and two complimentary drinks from the minibar.
We popped in as we were thinking of staying there for a week or two. Great location, bright & clean. Very friendly staff. Nice simple straightforward rooms. Some have balconies. Would definitely stay here if I returned. Also, part of the Intercon group.
