We got an exceptional deal on a junior suite with balcony which made our week long stay great value. The location of this hotel is beyond compare, with so much of Berlin and her attractions within walking distance (even on crutches as I was), or by u-bahn which is right next to the hotel. Breakfast was a real highlight. I loved being presented with a new smoothie shot every morning and found all the food on offer was plentiful, fresh and delicious. The scrambled egg was perfectly seasoned every day which I think it quite a feat when you're cooking for so many people! Every single staff member we encountered at breakfast was fantastic We couldn't quite get the hang of the heating/air conditioning which wasn't an issue as the temperature in the room was fairly constant, so we didn't raise it to the hotel. A lovely stay and a good experience for our first stay at a NH Collection hotel.…
The location is perfect very close to all you want. My room was small but for a solo traveller good enough. I do think the room rate was a bit OTT and if they charge that much they also should make sure That you get a free breakfast and a bottle water in the room. I boughed my own breakfast went to the supermarket 2min walking. And they could offer you a small discount for next stay. It’s the second time I stayed in a NH hotel and I prefer the one I The friederichstrasse. I will be back if the room rate is less
A good city centre hotel - more functional than luxurious as to be expected for the location. We had some drain issues with our first room, but these were handled efficiently and quickly to our complete satisfaction. The overall service was excellent.
Great hotel, great location A wonderful welcome, I would like to commend Filip Turabi Demir who received us kindly and professionally and made us feel welcome The lobby always has water, beers, cakes and fruit for guests The rooms are good and clean and the breakfast is delicious
My experience was very good all in all . I was welcomed warmly and been assisted with a professional way by a receptionist named Andreas . I appreciated much his very kind help when I requested to change my room. Thank you so much Andreas. The rooms are clean . Breakfast is very nice too with lots of varieties. Staff in general are welcoming and kind .
An amazingly affordable price for such luxury. The room was huge and the bed super comfy and large. Free doughnuts every afternoon was a fab touch. We rented high quality bikes from the hotel to explore Berlin and we didn’t need to book ahead. Hospitality was exceptional, they couldn’t do enough for us, especially Filip who was a superstar, offering tips and recommendations and a friendly face w hi I went out of his way to make our stay special. Will definitely come back.
I have just returned from a five night stay with my partner and would gladly recommend this hotel as it offers many positives for a decent price when compared to other hotels in Berlin. I will run through a summary of points then leave top tips at the end. Firstly, the big selling point of this hotel is the location. Berlin, like many capital cities, is huge. So, having Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburger Tor, Friedrichstrasse, Berlin Mall and Gendarmenmarkt all within an easy walk is perfect. For the attractions that bit further away, you could throw a stone to the metro station Stadmitte which will take you anywhere with ease and cheaply. Also, having Stadmitte so close means that navigation to and from the airport is also easy. Additionally, there are a range of amenities close by: supermarkets, cafes, takeaways, car rental, restaurants, pharmacies, gift shops - everything you could need during your stay. Rooms: spotless, spacious and well furnished. Having both a fridge and a coffee machine is a big bonus. Also, good quality toiletries supplied. The staff: really friendly, smart, polite and helpful, particularly those in the buffet breakfast area. Breakfast: tasty and varied; lots of hot and cold options to eat, a great choice of drinks, plus a balanced amount of sweet and savoury options too. Extras: we really appreciated the Easter decor, free snacks (such as biscuits and chocolate) and drinks (water and non alcoholic beer) offered in reception and the decorative fresh spring flowers. So, why not five out of five? Well, whilst I appreciate the competitive price, this hotel clearly prides itself on offering a more luxurious standard, so there are some things that should be addressed by management, and they are:- The beds: although huge, the mattresses (yes, I know how subjective this is) are so hard that comfort is difficult to find; they are so hard that to combat this the hotel really should invest in some mattress toppers which could be offered to guests if needed or furnish some rooms with a medium mattress. WiFi: the signal strength is poor. We both struggled to find a signal and then stay connected. Housekeeping: the teabags, sugar, milk and coffee pods are not automatically replenished by house keeping staff. At first, I rang down to reception to request a top up and was told some would be brought to my room and they were not. After an hour of waiting, I went down to reception for them and then from then on took every passing opportunity over the course of our stay to ask reception staff for supplies. Ironing board and iron: simple, just put them in each room - a fair expectation of the modern traveller is to not have to ask reception each time they need to iron their luggage creased clothing. Top tips: 1. When using the public transport, remember to validate your tickets. 2. Take the S9 or S45 to and from the airport and city, changing to the U6 or U2 to take you to and from Stadmitte. 3. Eat at either Maxmilians (just around the corner) or HofBrau (Alexandraplatz tube stop) for a true taste of German hospitality (see separate reviews). 4. If you have the opportunity/time, visit Potsdam (ABC zone ticket needed but still cheap) for a great day out - it's easy to get to and there is lots to see including the Bridge of Spies. There is a hop on/hop off bus stationed right outside the train station which will take you everywhere you would want to see. 5. Pre-book your tickets for the Bundestag …
The Hotel was amazing, its located in the central of Berlin, near to everything you need, a Farmacy, a supermarket, seeighseeing. The breakfast was so nice, they have a very big continental breakfast, the ladies were so nice and helpful. A special thank you to the twin girls in the Reception, they helped us so much, were so profesional, keep on the good job.
We could not fault this Hotel. The rooms were a decent size and very clean The hotel itself was spotless with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is outstanding with a very wide choice to suit everyone. The central location is ideal for for all the attractions without being within walking distance and if not the metro is just a couple of minutes walk. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely go back
This is a gorgeous hotel, with comfortable stylish rooms, a very tasty breakfast with lots of options and lovely helpful staff. I stayed here with my husband for 3 nights on a trip to Berlin. The hotel itself is in a very central location with a supermarket, the Berlin mall, restaurants, train station and lots of sites all within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel and will book to stay with the nh group again in the future.
