Needed a hotel in this location as business meeting close by. NH hotel was closer but twice the price (70 euro/night/single room). Booked 3 rooms, Boutique type rooms, large with wet rooms, quiet, opening windows, good wifi, great breakfast ( fried eggs cooked to order)....More
Good choice for a couple.
Location is great, especially if you like to stroll around Friedrichscain.
Room. breakfast, service all top notch!
Also, the downstairs restaurant served a good steak tartar,
which is a must for me when visiting central Europe.
I have stayed in hotels world wide, and I judge them basically in three categories...... Service, rooms, and food. In these three categories I have never experienced such friendly and professional service as anywhere in the world as I have at New Berlin. Add to...More
New Berlin has beautiful, modern rooms and great service and thus excellent value for money. Also the breakfast leaves nothing to wish for. The location is a REALLY "coming" neighbourhood, also, very "Berlin"- style on a street that in any Western city would be called...More
Fantastic way to see and learn about the historical sites in Berlin (hauphbahnhof). Our tour guide - "Mark", informed and delivered information about the sites in a comical and informative way. Would recommend the tour and guide to any English speakers touring Berlin.
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
