Long time no seen since pre covid. Was great to come back to my favourite Berlin hotel. Service perfect like always all over the building. Location perfect next to Potsdamer Platz. Room perfect size, nice & clean, great aircondition, large & luxury bathroom & great light system. Highly recommended!
Just stayed at the Grand Hyatt Berlin for 4 nights and had a lovely stay. The hotel is in a great location, in the heart of Berlin and a good distance from things to see and do. Comfy beds, clean rooms and great facilities. The pool area is lovely for relaxation and the staff are doing their best to keep everyone safe. Great levels of cleaning and limiting numbers to minimise overcrowding. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and procedures in place to keep everyone safe. The service was fantastic and nothing was too much. Thank you for a lovely stay and taking good care of us.
The hotel is in walking distance of many sites, excellent restaurants and parks. The hotel is modern, clean and in great condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a well equipped fitness area and a spa where you can get services such as massage, manicure, and facials to name a few at quite reasonable prices.
Absolutely terrific experience from start to finish. Probably helped that I stayed while a Globalist member of the World of Hyatt program but I suspect even with lower or no status I still would have had a nice time. Arrived around 10am, tired from an overnight flight from the United States and then an hourlong local train ride to Potsdamer Platz, and very happy to find that our room (was traveling with my spouse) was ready right away. No upgrade, unfortunately (there was a conference there part of the week), and just a view of the courtyard, but we were kindly offered a complimentary minibar in lieu, and at least we were on the same floor as the Grand Club lounge. The base room is a little on the small side overall but the bathroom was very spacious, the king bed was very comfortable, and there was a large table in the room, perfect for eating breakfast each morning. Speaking of, we were able to take our complimentary Globalist breakfast by room service each morning (with no limitation on how many items we could order from the menu) which was a very nice bonus to our vacation. Staff were universally excellent -- everyone at reception was responsive and efficient when I came by throughout our five-day stay with questions, Club attendants very proactive in clearing dishes and offering refills, concierge helped us with area information, and room service delivery person was friendly each morning. All speak excellent English. Bike rental available through the hotel for 20 EUR per calendar day. A little pricey but the convenience was hard to beat! Location was excellent -- a 5 minute walk to Potsdamer Platz train station (various lines/services), 5 minutes in other direction to Berlin Philharmonic and edge of Tiergarten, and 20 minutes walk to such sites as Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie. Lots of restaurants and shops in nearby Potsdamer Platz, Mall of Berlin, and Sony Center. REWE grocery store nearby as well. This was our first trip to Berlin (first to Germany, for that matter) and couldn't have asked for a better hotel to base ourselves during our stay. Not sure when my/our next trip to Berlin will be but this would be my first choice of places to stay again!…
hotel well located in the center of Berlin. an ideal starting point as a starting point to the monuments of the city. comfortable underground car park connected by the hotel elevator. rooms are technically and stylistically well-preserved with modern logistic solutions that facilitate the use of the room (control of light and blinds by the bed, sound system and a screen installed in the bathroom, the possibility of using the bathtub and shower without collision by 2 people at a time)
The Hotel was clean as you would expect from a 5 star. Lovely room with a very nice bathing area. BUT: They did not explain at our arrival, that breakfast was not included in the price - neither at the hotel.com app or in the booking. So we were surprised to be held back at the restaurant. I would have paid in advance but had a humiliating experience at the restaurant in the morning and had to pay 80 EURO for a not very overwhelming breakfast. The staff also walked in without knocking the first three times, before we put on the "do not disturb" tap at the door. AND: in the spa area there was no warning, that people walked around naked, and that the spa was a shared space this way for men and women. Penises all over. Not very nice. And in the locker-room at the spa, people could walk by at the outside and look in with not privacy at all. This happened to my girlfriend. The bubble bath by the pool was broken. Also I have to mention the even though the hotel is placed centrally in terms of sights, the area is not very cosy and a bit away from shops, restaurants, kiosks and U-bahn.…
We had a nice stay, the bathroom design was wonderful, we had an issue with our fridge and they accidentally sent someone to the wrong room to fix it but they compensate it nicely and were very professional.
We booked this hotel using award travel and stayed 2 nights. We enjoyed the amenities offered at this hotel. Especially the rooftop pool and hot tub. This is what makes the hotel worth is the hospitality and the rooftop pool. The check-in process was very easy and smooth. The reception staff was incredibly personable. The room was clean, and we were surprised that the bathroom floors and countertop were heated. The beds were very comfortable. Room service was prompt. The location was perfect for sightseeing. There is a metro station nearby, but there are plenty of restaurants located near the hotel as well.
The rooms were very comfortable, great bathrooms but the winning piece was the rooftop pool - used it twice a day sometimes, really made for a luxurious stay. We also really enjoyed a few good cocktails in the bar with very friendly staff.
Spent a week at one of my very favorite hotels - Grand Hyatt Berlin. So many things to like here: -Safe and secure with key required for elevators, strong metal doors on rooms, room safe -Best hotel breakfast around with made to order eggs, omelettes etc, Maybe 70 choices on the free buffet. Great breakfast every day -Love the location with quick access to Tiergarten, Brandenburg Gate, Mall of Berlin -Large rooms, great beds -Awesome marble bath with heated floor -Concierge has been very helpful with restaurants, reservations -Great spa and pool on the roof -Spacious lobby, halls and lots of unique artwork on every floor I find this hotel flawless and consistently excellent, I think my 14th stay here
