I stayed for about a week for a convention. My room was large and nice, especially for Europe. The shower and separate tub were quite comfortable. I also had a little sitting area and a desk. I also enjoyed the atrium cafe, which served excellent cappucinos and snacks and had a friendly waitstaff. I was there in June, and the...

Have been to Berlin a few times, but this time was with a group of 40, a choir attending a festival. Hence, an hotel with lots of rooms would be ideal. Estrel hotel in berlin is one of the largest hotels in Europe with more that a thousand rooms. So large that you had like 4 different wings and you...

Nice enough hotel. Architecture very prison-like - regimented and geometric. Laundry doesnt work weekends which blew my USA visitors minds. They were expecting "Flawless German Efficiency" Good large venue for conferences.

This is a huge hotel set in the south East of the city and easily accessible through the bus and S-Bahn rail network. The board basis is B&B with some fine onsite restaurants serving most tastes in cuisine. The Hotel is very busy as a convention centre and families and others may want to avoid this. The food is of...

I stayed here for 5 nights for a meeting. It was the only hotel large enough to hold major conferences and conventions. Check-in was fine and the staff was helpful and polite. The rooms were average. Each bed comes with a pillow that was so flat and soft that I had to fold it 3 times to make myself comfortable....

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days for a business conference. The hotel is large with a big glass atrium at its centre. Within the atrium there are seating areas, bars and restaurants plus a breakfast area. Rooms are smart except for the beds which are basic. The bathroom was OK except my shower temperature was a bit variable...

great conference center but average rooms, staff was friendly, food was good - over all everything was ok but nothing was outstanding. Would not chose the hotel for a private stay because its too far from sightseeing points.

It is fine, not close to the city. It is alright service, it feels like a student dormitory or an old conference hotel. The reception is slow. it is fine if you came for business. Breakfast was fine. But no free wifi and no wifi in rooms at all possible...so if.unless you get an amazing rate...

I stayed at this hotel for a 3 day conference. The staff in the conference center was really great. They were very helpful and the food was great. However, the room was not worth the money. The shower head kept falling down so I had to hold it up while I was washing my hair. The water kept switching back...

...in which case it is excellent. Standard business type hotel with all usual functions except, frustratingly, wifi in rooms. Rather busy lobby space with other guests doing the same as you for their wifi fix. Many more interesting and central places to stay in this brilliant city. Old and new wings, with predictable room quality in each.

Staying in Neukolln

Neighbourhood Profile
Neukolln
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
