We stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2017 and had a great experience. The caravans were very unique and incredibly comfortable. The glamping concept provided reasonable accommodations with an opportunity to interact with other travelers. Everyone was very considerate of others in the space. The neighborhood was conveniently located but in a neighborhood outside of the normal tourist areas. The...

What lies within these walls is a unique, quirky and exciting lodging experience. There is a large variation in retro-styled accommodation. There’s huts, campers and caravans in a magnitude of styles and sizes, along with standard rooms for those who want to keep it simple. I had the smallest (and absolute coolest) caravan “Puck”. It was small and cosy for...

I stayed in the space with the caravans and huts and of course you have to know what you're getting into and enjoy it but if thats your thing, its a perfect spot. Its a funky shared space with a hostel feel but when I was there in Oct 2016 there were two families with nice young kids and some...

We stayed for five nights in one of the hotel rooms. Room is big but quite boring. No pictures on the walls. There is no TV in the room. Bath room nice but a bit annoying that there was no shower curtain which meant you had to get rid of lots of water on the floor after a shower. Apart...

A different location to stay my accommodation was a cabin in a room with 3 caravans. Very clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. The power showers were excellent. I did not eat in the dining room but the food looked very presentable. Location was close to the underground and other transport. I got a 5 day travel pass...

I saw this on a travel show many years ago and it was the first on my list when i finally had the opportunity to go to Berlin. It was a fascinating place to stay, full of retro charm. We were in the newer section next door and loved every minute of it. it was a short walk from the...

If you are looking for something different in a good way, then this is the place. We had a comfortable nights sleep in the turtle, we would go for the caravans or shed next time. Very friendly staff and good security.

I loved my little camper - it was called Snow White. It had everything and it was very comfy. If I would have stayed longer in town, I would have stayed longer. The downside was that it's really not soundproof at all and as soon as the people in the campers wake up - you will too. It was also...

We were thinking of camping in Western Australia and ended up camping in Berlin instead. This city is anti gentrification and we really felt that we did our bit fitting in. A great team they really looked after our family and our kids got right into it. Was nice to meet other people but generally we had the space to...

Staying in Neukolln

Neighbourhood Profile
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
