My bf and I were very very happy staying at Nordic Hotel Berlin-Mitte! The room was very clean and pretty! I could have done without the translucent bathroom door but I managed to get over it :) The staff was super professional and incredibly kind and helpful. The location was great- about a block away from a great supermarket, 3...

Great location, every member of staff were really helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. All Transportation was either outside the hotel or close by. Could walk to some attractions. The hotel room was small but big enough for a couple night stay, room was cleaned everyday.

First of all, what a wonderful city! We had such a wonderful time full of historical/cultural sights and modern/alternative experiences. This hotel was in a very good location, close to the metro and walking distance from lots of interest points we wanted to visit. Our room looked out onto the Natural History Museum which was lovely to wake up too,...

We stayed for 2 nights. Ten minutes walking from train station, Natural History Museum facing the hotel, a short walk to all the sights and next to Friederich strasse with lots of restaurants and bars. There are many bakeries and cafes near the hotel where to have breakfast. Small but nice rooms, very clean. Comfortable beds and good bathroom. Nice...

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Only 10 min walk from main station and a couple minutes walk in the opposite direction to the U bahn. Both were handy for us. Natural history museum directly facing hotel too. Not a lot round hotel but 10 mins walk away there is. They do have a subway and a couple of...

I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights, first night in a room at the front on the first floor, which was very noisy (room 103) but as soon as I've asked to change room, the staff was very helpful and move me to quiet room. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent - across the...

A small hotel situated a short tram/train/bus ride from the centre. A little, tired in places in the hallways for instance but very clean. The room although not large was perfectly adequate. Complimentary Tea & Coffee and a medium bottle of water (2€). WiFi worked well. Excellent shower, comfortable bed and TV. All we needed. There was some road noise, particularly...

I stayed in the Nordic Hotel Berlin for 3 days and I would highly recommend it. The location is great, in front of the Natural History Museum (literally! The museum was the view of my balcony), close to the main train station, to an underground station and 1km away by foot of the Brandenburger Tor. The room was cosy but...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
