Had to come for a trade show - hotel was great value, and then due to Berlin Airport strikes had to come back for another night. If the hotel is good value it's a great place to stay. The location is slightly 'edgy' - or, felt like home for me, so I had no issues wondering around trying to get...

Booked the hotel for a one-week city break. Located east of the old airfield, the hotel is in an area with a high migrant population and may be considered as being outside "tourist" Berlin. U-Bahn is close though, so transit times to the more touristy areas are short and the trip convenient. Rooms are high, with good soundproofing. Beds are...

We had a business meeting here and for this it worked really well. It took around half an hour in a taxi from Schoenfeld airport. The meeting rooms were well maintained and well lit, and the bedrooms also. It's next to a busy road but once inside you wouldn't realise this at all. The food was very good and nice...

The Mercure Hotel Berlin Tempelhof is a standard Mercure Hotel where one can stay for a trip to Berlin. It is not luxurious but the rooms are clean and modern. The restaurant food is of a good standard and the waiters and waitresses were in the main friendly and helpful.

Clean, standard hotel. In a bit of a dull area but you're right by the underground so it doesn't really matter. Walking distance of the Turkish market which is nice. Staff are nice but you won't get any extras and the bar downstairs has no atmosphere. If you're going for a night out get a taxi (they're not too expensive)....

Clean and well kept room. Near to a lot of restaurants, can also get halal food nearby. Hugely good. Helpful sraff at reception.Though expensive for food, 'complimentary' water bottle in room cost €3.90!

Dear Ali J. We appreciate that you had a pleasant stay at our hotel and thank you so much for your kind remarks, regarding our staff in particular! Nonetheless we are sorry for the trouble regarding the "complimentary" water. Actually this is only included when a privilege room is booked. Though we are looking forward to welcoming you again at...

Nice break fast. Male receptionist very funn and charming. Taxis always just outside. Free good WiFi. No minibar, have to buy drink in the reception. No good bar or restaurant. Bathrooms are vold and toalett paper is just as the sovnet union period. Bad neighborhood and too expensive rooms. Doubt I will return. Noisy.

We live at the hotel because our daughter live close to it. The surroundings are not the most fantastic, but it is close to the u-bahn, and the hotel is so nice to live in. Very quiet, nice staff, nice rooms, fantastic breakfast.

We have stayed at this hotel six times and have always received a warm welcome. The rooms are spacious, light and airy. They are very well kept and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is buffet style and of a high quality.

Staying in Neukolln

Neighbourhood Profile
Neukolln
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.

“When I arrived at my room late in the evening, the bottle of mineral water set out on a tray was a welcome site. It was only on the third night that I noticed tiny writing of E3.90 next to the big writing "Refresh Yourself". This is such a mean stingy little gesture for an otherwise good quality hotel ”
