I stayed in Main Station Hostel for two nights of my travel in Berlin. It was quite far from centre of the city but that wasn't a problem because there was very good connection. I was sleeping in dormitory where were about five bunk beds (there was a bathroom in segment as well), but it didn't seem crowded even when...

This is one of the best hostels we have stayed in whilst travelling Europe. The hostel is just like a hotel. Everything is modern and really clean. There is a kitchen you can make your own food in with fridge etc and all cutlery and pans you need. Free luggage storage. Helpful tourist advice and friendly service. The metro station...

The actual name is Main Station Hotel & Hostel and it caters for both types of traveller. The Hotel double room was very good, with hardwood furniture and comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the outside courtyard was comfortable and relaxed (although in Berliner style the beach is just half the courtyard deck with sand). The breakfast...

I paied 54 Euro for one night there which is a bit too much for a room without aircondition (it was very hot), and not very close to the city centrum. The breakfast was excelent and the staff was nice too.

The only downfall about this hostel is that it's a bit out of the way of the main city, however we paid €11 for each person (a group of 10) and we're currently in another hostel in the heart of the city, which is €23 and i will happily state that the Main Station is not only more than half...

I lived in a "Dorm style room with 4 bunk beds" during my stay in March. Our group consists of 6 people and we stayed for 3 nights. About the room: The room is definitely big enough. Everything, including the private bathroom, the bed, the linen were so clean. Nothing to complain at all with such a nice price. Service:...

I went for a short trip to Berlin with my family. We stayed in the family room of the Main Station Hostel. I can say I didn`t expect a hostel with such an excellent room for our group. The beds ( 4double deckers) are clean and well kept. The toilet and bath is inside the room itself and even has...

We stayed for 3 nights in the Main Station Hotel and it was great. Not difficult to find, not far from metro and all other transports as well as the main city spots. Great staff, always ready to help and a very varied breakfast service. About the dependences, we had a very spacious and cozy room for a fair low-season...

Despite the rooms being rather small, the adjoining bathrooms were of good quality and the layout of reception made it very accessible. The hostel was smart, modern and the service at breakfast and at the bar was exemplary. It is in a prime location if one wishes to catch a train to many regions of Europe and is not far...

Stayed for one night in a double room - although really this was more like an apartment. Lots of space to relax in and very clean with full kitchen and bathroom. Breakfast was included in the rate: lots of choice. Excellent value for the price. Was quick and easy to get there from Berlin Tegel by bus and U-Bahn, and...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
