I'll start with the positives. Hotel is situated very close to a station, breakfast was very good & was impeccably clean. The room is small but adequate however we had some issues. For two average sized people the bed was small, 1 pillow each & the duvet not nearly large enough but that was not an issue as dispite turning...

Hotel was immaculate and the staff were very efficient. Location was really good, with a U BAHN at the end of the street or walking distance from the main sightseeing locations within 20 mins. Rooms are on the smaller size but still practical and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with lots of options, although it is the same everyday. Bar was...

Fab hotel! Basic but lovely! Rooms a bit small but comfy. Underground is two minute walk away.. can literally go anywhere! But make sure you get tickets for the trains as people were getting fined 60 euros for not doing so! Bar is a little expensive but does good cocktails! Hotel was perfectly clean, rooms cleaned daily. Perfect hotel for...

Titanic Berlin is among the cleanest hotels I've stayed in and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The standard double room is very tight but as I said super clean and the bed was like a cloud to sleep on. If you are considering staying maybe upgrade your room to a bigger one. The breakfast is delicious and so...

Overall this was a nice hotel which was just a base for 2 nights. The rooms are very small and quite cramped. The duvet was very small, difficult when sharing with a large man! Therefore, very cold during the night. The bathroom was very good and modern with a spacious and powerful shower. The plug sockets did not always charge...

It's hard to get a good location in Berlin, as it is so big, but I've had better. The Titanic in Berlin Mitte is about 10 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz down a busy highway, and about 20 minutes walk from CheckPoint Charlie down some back streets. There was another of the same brand that was in a better location. The...

Check in was easy but they do need more people working the reception area especially on NY weekend. Rooms were clean and the hotel is pretty remodeled and new and rooms are clean and have ton of mirrors. Bathroom was the best, brand new everything, really 5 star quality and better than most "luxurious" hotels Ive stayed at. Some of...

Cons: Checking in, staff very arrogant could not give a damn that they messed up our booking and that our 18 year old twin boy and girl had to share a bed. Only after a heated loud argument they went from being full to having an available twin room. Rooms are literally 2m x 2m in size, no where to...

Hotel was lovely and well presented in a nice quiet area. Apart from the construction works outside! So if you are travelling soon phone hotel and check because there was no information of this on their website or external ones when I booked and checked when I was back also. It would have been an ideal hotel if I wasn't...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
