We stayed 2 nights the Radisson Blu. The aquarium in the lobby is unbelievable! Staff was outstanding! Room was large and we had a balcony that overlooked the front of the hotel. Walking distance (20 minutes) to Brandenburg gate. We did not have breakfast, but we did order room service for lunch and the burgers were delish! We wish we...

Where else can you admire fish swimming around a humongous cylindrical aquarium whilst having a drink or a snack or even just waiting to check in or out or using one of the "fleet" of lifts? (...and admire the scuba-diving "window cleaner" on occasions too...!) Friendly and helpful staff, very well situated with easy access to everywhere even the TV...

good good good! Hotel is very providing, the room (business room) was amazing, very large provided a view to the cathedral, very pampering room. you have an option to take a room to the inner side of the hotel and see the 6 story tall aquarium they have which is amazing walking distance to Alexander platz or to heck-share market.

A big hotel chain so fairly impersonal and reception staff were stony faced. Bit of a mess up on my part with the booking and I asked the hotel for flexibility/understanding that I thought a multi-national company could accommodate - however not and that will mean, for me, I won't be using Radisson again. Especially when I had a great...

Once you get past the show-stopping aquarium in the lobby/ bar you realise this is an efficiently run hotel with well equipped rooms, in a great location with a hearty breakfast on offer. The rooms are a decent size with a comfortable bed and duvets (not groce blankets covered in a top sheet). You also get the usual desk, TV,...

The hotel has a fantastic, mega big, aquarium in the middle of the lobby area. People who clean the inside of it actually have to dive into it. And when they do, they look small inside the aquarium... There's also an elevator inside, so you can go for a ride. Sadly the elevator doesn't belong to the hotel and you...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Everything about the hotel is lovely. We had requested a room looking out on the fish tank and that's what we got. Very relaxing and weird seeing all the fish swimming around from the comfort of your bed. Late check out was granted (2.30pm) at no extra charge. Very centrally located for all the sights.

We stayed here 4 nights and the Aquadom never got boring. Amazing views going up the elevators (which need a key card to access) and perfect place at the bar below it to get a nightcap and enjoy some beautiful scenery. The fish tank lights go out around 9pm I assume for the rooms on the interior. But easily could...

Definitely worth staying here. The hotel is super clean, tidy and interesting. The staff are helpful and responsive. I stayed in 4109 - choose a hotel room with an odd number with a view. I had a closeup and uninterrupted view of Berlin Cathedral - possibly the best view I have ever had from hotel bedroom. There was also a...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
