I stayed here for a business conference and all in all, this was a fantastic stay. The location is spot on for everything central in berlin. 5 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz and 20 minutes the other way to the Brandenburg Gate. The River Spree separates the hotel from Berlin Cathedral and the museums. The X factor is the central Aquarium... More

Weekend break, 2 nights at Radisson Blu. Compered to the rate and other 5 star options in Berlin it's not quite worth it. Yes, the aquarium at the lobby is amazing, but hotel has some service issues. Check in was prompt and good and as a gold member we were upgraded to a business room. Rooms are nice and modern... More

This is an excellent hotel. It has a great, central location in Mitte, walking distance to many tourist sites, and within easy access of lots of public transport (tram, train etc). The rooms are quiet - I never heard a peep from the corridors or lobby; the sound-proofing betweens rooms is also great. Since some hotel have terribly thin walls,... More

We booked this hotel for our first visit to Berlin and were not disappointed. We got a good rate, for a business class room with Expedia. The room was very quiet and overlooked the river and the cathedral.

Well what can I say. This hotel is phenomenal! From the moment you walk into reception, and you see the worlds largest cylindrical aquarium right in the centre of the lobby, it's breath taking! The staff are so attentive. Our room wasn't huge, but it had everything we needed. It was clean, modern and the beds were very comfortable! The... More

have stayed at several venues in Berlin - but this is ideally located in Mitte, as well it's clean, great service, and attention to details. Breakfast was very good. Rooms and bed were excellent. Rooms were also very quiet despite being on a very busy roadway. I would highly recommend this place

Visit to Berlin for personal errands and stayed at Radisson Blu for four nights Front desk staff very nice and accommodating. Front desk also offered coffee/tea for early morning departures. Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
