I visited the hotel during a big event and had a great time. The location is perfect , only 100mtrs from the friedrichstrasse station so connections can be made very fast. Shopping is arround the corner and the room is great and kept very clean. The breakfast is very good with good supporting staff. The only reason i do not...

I stayed with my daughter for three nights. We mainly choose the hotel because she wanted a pool. The hotel itself is located a convenient 1 minute walk from Friedrichstrasse Station. The general feeling when entering is that its nice, new, modern but  sterile. The staffmembers we encountered where all courteous, helpful and professional. We didnt try the restaurant or...

My girlfriend and I stayed 3 nights here at the end of January. The hotel is fantastically located in the Centre of berlin and is directly beside one of the biggest railway and underground stations in the city. Lots of shops nearby and very near to some of the main tourist attractions. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with nice...

The hotel is well located with direct train access to Schönefeld airport and excellent S and U-bahn links. It's a well-maintained hotel with rooms as they appear in the photos. However the wifi and internet TV were dreadful; they didn't work most of the time. The pool was also closed for five days during our visit. A pity because the...

Great hotel overall with a superb location. You can walk to many restaurants serving various fare, many bakeries and coffee shops (typical Germany), and to a lot of major tourist areas. Great steak restaurant 2 buildings down from hotel. Shops on nearby streets - especially Unter den Linden. Location across from the train station but I will warn you that...

This hotel is really near located to the center of Berlin, just a walk and you are there. The hotel is very beautiful and has a really nice staff. Also the special bar by Javier de las Muelas, known in Spain, as they have there the Martini Bar in Barcelona and a bar in the melia hotel which are very...

Lovely, large and quiet room (415), great breakfast, nice gym/pool and generally good service. But I was in Berlin on business and the hotel is totally let down by the terrible wi-fi connection. One fiddly password per device, I was working at midnight and the wi-fi just cut from my computer half way through sending a long message so I...

Stayed here for 4 nights while on business very good business hotel handy for the railway station and in the heart of Berlin walking distance to all major attractions. Hotel WI FI tends to run a bit slow some days. On the negative there is no restaurant for dinner only bar meals but there is plenty of eating places within...

This is a good city hotel in a great location. Right next to the station for excellent transport links to the rest of the city and the airport. Within walking distance of all the must do sights. City centre noise could be an issue for some but to be expected with a central hotel. My only criticism were the restaurant...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
