A real nice hotel! Staff are nice! Hotel looks clean. The room is spacious and clean, with spacious bathroom as well! Located near the train station. It is convenient to go to the tourist destinations. There are lots of restaurants nearby, from German to Indian cuisine is on walking distance.
We've just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay in Berlin. We came across the hotel quite by chance and are very glad we did. It was comfortable, quiet, clean and welcoming, and best of all, just 5 mins walk from Friedrichstrasse station. No fancy frills, but comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and restaurants on the doorstep. We didn't eat breakfast as we wanted flexibility, but it looked very good.
We spent 3 nights at the Albrechtshof: it was really good value. We had 2 comfortable rooms on the 2nd floor (1 double + 1 single) - comfortable beds, a clean shower room with lots of hot water. A little street noise, if, like us, you want to keep a window open, but you would expect this with a city centre hotel. The hotel thoughtfully supplied ear plugs, which we didn't need. An excellent+ generous breakfast (a well stocked buffet - so do choose the breakfast option (we hadn't but ended up breakfasting in the hotel each morning.). The location is excellent - we walked to museums, galleries, and historical sites, and caught the S bahn from a station 5 mins away to go to Potsdam/Sans Souci.
Great location, one SBahn stop from the main station and most of the main attractions are easily walking distance away. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast food and drink and attentive but unobtrusive service. Room (for two) very spacious and with everything you could need including excellent bathroom,
First time in Berlin and we chose well with this hotel. A very good price for a centrally based hotel very close to the railway station, located in a nice quiet road. Room very spacious and clean, breakfast amazing. I e-mailed many times before we stayed with various questions and the reception team were extremely helpful and replied very quickly. Would highly recommend.
Really good location for tourists. Excellent transport links through nearby Freidrichstrasse Station(s). Lots of museums and other places of interest walkable. A wide variety of restaurants so close that (apart from breakfast) we never ate at the hotel. Our room was spotless, comfortable and reasonably well equipped. It faced the inner courtyard which at first we feared might be noisy: lots of people wanted to eat outside on the warm summer evenings. We need not have worried. Promptly around 10 things quietened down. Maybe it’s management policy to gently move folk inside? Helpful and charming staff in all departments. Our few ‘special requests’ were promptly and efficiently answered. Thank you for coping with our lack of German! The breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve seen anywhere in the world. It’s wide-ranging with an emphasis on German specialities. I found that a welcome change from the bland ‘international’ approach that’s common in bigger hotels. Everything I tried was delicious, fresh and of good quality. Others have commented on the high price. For a more leisurely and filling meal it’s excellent value, and each morning felt like a culinary adventure. If you just want a quick coffee and croissant, there are plenty of alternatives nearby.…
Stayed here for four nights in very hot August 2019. I would rate this hotel very highly. Everything about it was high quality...the room, the bed, the facilities in the room, the cleanliness, the food, the staff. Although in the centre of Berlin it was surprisingly quiet at night. It was very hot but they provided an extremely effective tower fan which worked brilliantly and kept one cool. The room was a generous size. This was one of the very best hotels I have stayed in. (Would give it 5 stars but no kettle for drinks so brought my own...for those of us who often wake very early a hot drink is an essential not a luxury.)
The room was compact, however, it had all I needed. clean and comfortable. The double bed is, in fact, two single beds pushed together which was a little uncomfortable. Minibar and amnesties were good.
Excellent location in Mitte, near Friedrichstrasse station. Clean rooms, good service, and breakfast. A cozy, old-fashioned atmosphere. Friendly staff. We tried also the restaurant in the evening, had an excellent dinner.
A good hotel. The room needed some renovation, but was perfectly clean! Receptionists and the restaurant/bar staff were all friendly and helpful. Friedriehstraße train station was really handy as it goes directly to/from the airport. Unfortunately, there was no chance for us to order anything small for breakfast (like a pastry) without paying €17.00 per person.
