Abacus Tierpark Hotel is perfect for business travellers who do not know when exactly they will arrive. As the name suggests you are also next door to Berlin's famous zoo, an attraction worth 1 or 2 days of visits. Friendly and competent staff, good breakfast buffet - it's all nice. You can park paid under surveillance or for free without. I use the hotel 2-3 times a year.

Hot weather no air conditioning. Breakfast good help yourself, evening meals very poor let down by staff who treated you like second class citizens. Trying to order a beer was a case of should you order it at the table or at the bar. The older lady waitress had a face like thunder....miles out of the centre of Berlin too.

Located east of Berlin city centre, Abacus Park Hotel offers spacious rooms (as often the case in Germany) and a solid package for business and leisure. Not exactly brimming with charm, but nice and clean. Be aware that there is no minibar, but you can buy a lot of convenience items in machines near the reception. Coming straight from the airport with no cash posed some problems, as the machines are cash only - but the reception found a solution after some time.

It ist located far east of Berlin and surrounding reminds you of that. Nevertheless the hotel is nice. The Conference rooms are well equipped. The restaurant has an open kitchen. The food is very tasty. The rooms are spacious and the wifi is good.
