Is that becoz we booked this hotel during ITB.. It iwas indeed very expensive.. Something like 200 Euros per night. This was the case with most of the hotels during this period. I did not like the rooms (Small and Cramped eventhough it was a Executive Room), The heater in the room made a lot of noise, Housekeeping was just...

this was the first hotel we stayed in on a four-city europe trip, and it was our favorite. clean, safe, easy to get to (maybe two blocks from the u-bahn station), in an area with restaurants and places to eat, no problems with the staff, and totally affordable. one warning: we loved the location, right off ku'damm, because it was...

When arrived at hotel I was immediately welcomed by friendly staff and given my room card key. It is very well located, connecting with Kudam (main shopping street in Berlin) and a few minutes walk to the U-bahn Kurfurstendamm station and Zoological Garden Station. Located on Meinekestrasse, there are plenty of restaurants and other hotels in that same street that...

The one thing great about the Mark Hotel is the location. Walking distance fom some really neat cafes and restaurants, the Mark Hotel is also very close to all the starting points for city tours, most of which are hop off and on. I would reccomend these tours especially if you do not have much time and do not know...

Berlin Marks is conveniently located on a quiet side street off Kurfurstendamm, the main shopping strip of Berlin. From the airport, one can take the 109 bus, get off near Uhlandstrasse S-barn station and walk 3-minutes to the hotel. The hotel is 3-minute walk from at least 2 U-barn stations and 5-minute walk to a S-barn station. There is a...

This hotel was great. It reminded me a lot of an American hotel...a nice flatscreen tv (only english channels are news), comfy beds with great downcomforters, large room, and good size bathroom. The breakfast was amazing in the morning....very fresh. The location is great...right near the Hard Rock cafe...close to bus stop and metro as well as all the shopping...

A group of four guys from the US stayed in two rooms in the Berlin Mark for the week of November 21-27, 2008. I loved the hotel's location just off the K'dam and near the U and S Bahn. The rooms were comfortable, with nice linens and oversized pillows and the flat screen tv was a great touch. The bathroom...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
