A hidden gem at a good location in Berlin. Outside the hotel there are several restaurants and shops. Entering the hotel was a nice surprise. Several small details that felt like home or visiting a friend. The room was big, a bed, a desk and a small extra table with chairs for afternoon tea. Ordinary breakfast but calm and relaxing...

We stayed at the family room at the 5th floor - in the attic. The room design and furniture was dated, but all clean and operational. The airconditioning was not very effective and very loud, so we did not sleep well one night we stayed there. The lower parts of the hotel very looking better, the breakfast was OK.

This hotel well located near shopping, restraints and local transport. Staff friendly. Breakfast especially good. Place showing some wear and tear. Room kept clean. Some problems with Internet. Biggest issue for older folks is that elevator does not go to ground exit floor, all stops 1/2 between floors on landing, problematic for luggage.

Cheap hotel, great location - if your visiting Berlin on a budget this is a must. ka De Wee on the corner, underground 5 min walk away which you can then access the whole of Berlin. Plenty of things to eat, see and do - really enjoyed our stayed in Berlin. It wasn't until the last night of our stay...

Great location, there are only about 3-5 minutes to KaDeWe, and the same to the Kurfürstendamm, where almost all the shops are. About 15 minutes walk to Hard Rock cafe... It is a nice, little, old hotel. Breakfast is good, not too much variation, but everything is fresh and I think everybody can find something they like. Nice interior... The...

The Comfort Hotel Auberge is a small intimate hotel with a good location and comfortable rooms; however, their true highlight is their staff. They are all extremely attentive and hospitable. 100% recommended!

An old hotel, with not the newest or fanciest interior, but clean and cosy. Quite ok beds, and small bathroom. But for me a hotel is just for the night stay, I prefer to be out and looking around during the day. Service minded and helpful staff. Excellent location, close to Underground station, shopping center and Kurfüstendam fancy shopping street....

The comfort hotel Auberge in the bayreutherstrasse, near wittenburgerplatz (U-bahn station) is very good quality for a reasonable price. The city of Berlin (Mitte) is easily reached by foot (40 minutes), taxi (€10,-) or metro. The rooms are spacious and clean, service friendly and the breakfast good.

We booked online and had an easy check-in at the hotel with Antje who was very pleasant along with the rest of the staff. She explained everything and got our family our two rooms right away. The hotel offers parking in a garage about 20 steps from the hotel and we had no problem parking our American sized mini-van. Breakfast...

Hotel is in great place, 100 m from Kadewe and to U-bahn (Witterbergplatz) is about 2 min walk! Easy to move everywhere for example to Alexanderpaltz. To Zoologisher garten is 10 min walk or one metrostop. Hotel is nice, small and rooms very cosy. Comfort rooms are huge with sitting area! Bathrooms quite small, but new. Breakfast is good. Some...

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
