Hotel reception staff are on the whole great, but if they had told us that a day ticket meant trams, trains, subway, overground, buses ALL included - that would have been beneficial. The breakfast is not worth 12euro each unless you eat massive amounts, and what was served was average at best. I would probably not stay at this particular...

It's not luxury, but it is clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly and polite. It was in an ideal location and the public transport in Berlin is really superb. I would definitely stay here again.

I have chosen a chain hotel thinking that i will have standards. I looked at the hotel pictures and they were very inviting and decent. Well, i found nothing more than basics in this place, From the size of the room, to the lobby mixed up with the lobby bar and the restaurant,, all compact. All respect to the staff...

I visited Hotel Holiday Inn Berlin for my business trip. The hotel is little away from airport but very near from many exiting tourist places. Hotel has normal facilities which are needed for a short stay. This does not have many luxury facilities. Service and breakfast was up to the mark.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
