This hotel ruined our stay in Berlin. We had booked a Quadruple Room in the last week of August this year – for myself, my wife, and my 12 and 14 yr old children. We wanted 4 proper single beds (as shown for the Quadruple Room in the photo on the Booking.com website), but were given a Triple Room which... More

Ideal location close to all forms of transport and one minute walk to Kurfürstendamm. Clean, comfortable family-run small hotel on second floor of beautiful old building (no lift but staff helpful with luggage). Rooms give out on to peaceful courtyard. Simple light breakfast included in price.

I loved staying here during my Berlin travels. For a modest cost, I had the convenience of a charmingly old building, a balcony for my breakfast, the metro at the corner, and delightful walking right outside the door. Wifi worked great. The staff was helpful. I had a tea pot in my room and bottled water. Bathroom was small but... More

I stayed in this hotel with few of my colleagues. It was nice and cute hotel, or pension in more correct way:) Staff was really nice, all very helpful guys. Breakfast also was nice, rooms looked fancy some of them even too fancy for the pension haha. I just didn't like that wi-fi connection was quite poor, even if its... More

We are a family of 7 including children ages 1, 3, 6 and 8. We booked the suite apartment and it was very comfortable. The apartment is in a historical building and is very charming. It's on the 4th floor with no lift but it wasn't bad even for our 3 year old. The ceilings are high, bedrooms are spacious... More

I booked this hotel based on reviews and moderate cost and was very pleased with the value of this Pension. We loved the antique keyed door and the unique way to enter after hours. I'm not sure how old this building is but it is charmingly old but well taken care of. Rooms are of adequate size with very high... More

The hotel is very antique like and beautiful. But WARNING they have no elevator! It made it very difficult to carry luggage. The wifi they had was not very consistent, I had a hard time trying to keep in touch with my loved ones because the connection was so poor. They also have little to no air conditioning. This was... Fasananhaus deserves a 3.5 rating, but that's not possible on my app :). It is extremely well located (just off the Ku'damm and a hop and a jump from Zoo), has good wifi, reasonable prices and friendly staff. BUT that stairway with luggage is a killer.

We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Fasanenhaus in April. Our room was facing the backyard which made it very quiet. Fasanenstr. is not the most busy street though, so I don't guess traffic noise would be a problem in rooms facing the street. We had shared bath and toilet but it was never a problem, as we didn't... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
