We are spending five nights here while we visit Berlin for the first time, after coming off of a 15 night transatlantic cruise from ft. Lauderdale, FL. The hotel is very well located. One of its best features is the concierge, Andre Lindner. When we arrived, me husband and I ended up with a nasty virus and needed to see...

We stayed at the Westin Grand, Berlin in January 2017 to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The hotel is very lavish and beautiful with lovely rooms and centrally located near most of the tourist attraction. The only negative, was the barman Heckel who was very rude and abrupt.

So searched extensively through Bookings.com for hotels in Berlin! Westin Grand at 30% off kept coming back to it. It did NOT disappoint! Wow, fabulous spacious & spotlessly clean room. Access to fantastic gym facilities. Breakfast (incl in the price) this is what also swung me in the direction of this booking) was just out of this world. You need...

The Themed suites are beautiful and very old world. The breakfast is very good by way of service and quality and type of food. The beds are older and in my case were joined together. The location is excellent as you are close to everything from shopping to the famous Brandenburg gates. Remember this is an old hotel and it...

Dear YuriVanetik, Thank you for your stay with us and for your evaluation. So nice, that you enjoyed our themed suites. Each of them is unique and equipped in the style of the life period of the eponym, for example Johann Sebastian Bach or Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Something special indeed. On contrast we also offering modern suites Swarovski lamps...

Check in is late at 3 pm so we travelled light allowing us to see the sights of Berlin first. Luckily our rooms were ready a little early as by then the children were tired. Reception was welcoming and friendly. Spoke good English. The rooms were standard good hotel rooms, with baths. The hotel is near the Brandenburg gate, surrounded...

We spent a long weekend (Thurs-Mon); got a top floor room with breakfast included (so I don't know if it really was E30 pp). As it happens breakfast was a full spread of hot and cold with ample hot coffee and tea (of all varieties). Very central yet so quiet. We walked everywhere (40 kms in all), as it is...

Stayed here for 3 nights. The room was nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. When the breakfast costs more than 30 euros per person and day, we did not pay for that. You get a large nice breakfast for half the price in any cafe nearby.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
