Small hotel tucked away off the main street in Charlottenburg. Reasonable location in terms of proximity to public transport - about a ten minute walk to the nearest U-Bahn and S-Bahn. Bus stops are closer. The area is a bit boring but it's probably paradise if you're into designer clothes. There are nice places to eat if you're prepared to... More

Ingo, the owner is your host and the consummate hotelier. The top floor of a pre-war building with original appointments and a conference area on the second floor it could not have been more perfect. Four blocks to the S-Bahn or five to the U-Bahn with numerous good restaurants in the nearby neighborhood. Breakfast is not included in the rate... More

The Hotel Art Nouveau, is well hidden so it's worth checking the location before the Taxi ride. It's a lovely old building with simple rooms oozing with character. The manager is very friendly with many good suggestions of places to visit. The dinner area is pleasant and it's still nice to find an honesty box system in place in this... More

If you want to hit the bars and clubs then this is not the hotel or area for you. The hotel is in Charlottenberg which is a quieter part of the city, 5 mins walk from the glitzy shopping street. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and the place itself is well kept, clean and thoughtfully done. Rooms... More

Spent 4 nights here last week with my wife and this hotel is great value. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, staff very friendly and helpful and there are plenty of bars and cafes nearby. Plus it's only 15 min walks to a great shopping area. Subway is close also and it takes about 35 mins to get to... More

I really appreciated the authenticity of this place. I was not happy about two things: no other visitors in the hotel (only 2), I faced an issue with the cleanliness of the bath gown and in general, and I found the breakfast selection very small and the food did not seem fresh at all times. I always need to be... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Art Nouveau about 15 times, that says it all. It is absolutely perfectly situated in the heart of Berlin, the facade of the building takes you back to another wonderful era, I just love that authentic old lift which makes you feel you are in the 30's. You are greeted at the main door... More

My most recent stay at the Hotel Art Nouveau was for three nights In October, 2015. Previously I have stayed there four different times, beginning in 2006. Each time I was welcomed and made to feel very comfortable by the host, Gerd Schlenzla. The rooms are clean, well appointed with comfortable beds and very modern bathrooms. And, the location could... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
