I had several nights in this hotel, it was nothing special, quite basic, but perfectly fine for a few nights. The free internet terminal in the room is a great idea...except it didn't work. The drain in the shower was blocking up all the time and a few other little things like that but it was fine for what it...

This used to be a very nice place to stay but over the years they have expanded and added "budget" rooms. These seem to be in the newer (newer as in ownership rather than build date) part of the hotel and seem to be thinner walled. This leads to excessive noise from the next door rooms and the corridor, although...

My daughter and I stayed there for 5 nights last November when we visited Berlin for the 20th Anniversary of the Berlin Wall coming down. This place was super clean and comfortable, despite the small room size. Probably the only negative thing about it is the fact that there is no elevator and we were on the 4th floor which...

Good location opposite U bahn and S bahn station. Easily accessible by bus from Tegel Airport (15 mins or so) and on a direct train line to Schonefeld Airport (45-50 mins). Pleasant walk to Berlin's main Conference Centre (20-25 mins). Charlottenberg is a pleasant, green suburb. Very good staff, all extremely helpful. Computer with free internet access available in all...

I payed 59 euro for one night for a double bed room. It was sufficient enough for us to sleep in and that's basically all we used the room for, sleep and shower. We asked ahead of time for non smoking but when we arrived, there were no non smoking rooms available so we had to smell smoke all night....

This hotel provides great value, a real boon given the falling dollar. I stayed there for the second time and found the rates very reasonable compared with other places in town. The location is directly across the street from the S-Bahn, an ideal starting part for traveling all around the city, and is also directly across from a taxi stand...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
