I booked this hotel nearly 12 months in advance to ensure a decent hotel at a good price for the Coil Winding show. The hotel is a 10 min walk from the zoo garden train station (3.80 euro from the airport) Staff friendly and efficient, our rooms were located on the first floor at the rear (102 & 106) both look out to the train track - a very busy line 24/7 (make sure you either go front or high) the noise is OK but im a light sleeper so awake with every train. The room itself clean and a decent size, with an excellent shower, complete with tea and coffee including water first night. Breakfast was a combination of hot and continental with good coffee, juice water Etc. the bar has 4 types of German beers all nice and not outrageously expensive,
One of the nicer hotels we've stayed at in Europe. Clean and inviting atmosphere when entering the lobby. Friendly staff, spacious rooms and excellent selection for breakfast. I think the best tasting waffles I've ever had.
We stayed at the hotel for a whole week. Our family had 3 rooms on the 2nd floor, courtyard view. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned and very quite. The breakfast was very good and satisfied the whole group. The hotel is located walking distance from the main shopping street. Great restaurants and cafes can be found easily in the area. The hotel staff was very polite and responsive to our needs.
Returning to this hotel after a few years, I clearly noticed how the quality has diminished. Seemingly no renovation has taken place in recent years, as you can see with the carpet and the bathrooms. Everything still is OK clean, but it just feels one category worse than you would expect even from a Hampton Inn. The lowlight was that my room faced the commuter train line in a way that people from the train could look into my room. While this was annoying, the noise that came with a train passing every couple of minutes as of 5 AM was really bothersome. The windows are good but they cannot shield you from the noise of a passing train. Not a restful night in a rather depressing hotel. It is functional for a trip to Berlin but do not expect anything else. I would consider it a good choice at the right price. Staff was friendly, breakfast free and OK (decent selection).…
I’ve recently stayed at this great hotel. I honestly can’t say enough good about it. Such great value for money, fantastic breakfast and wonderful staff particularly Alex on reception. Also great location.
Nice hotel in the heart of the city, close to local attractions and public transport. All staff friendly and professional, easy checking in process. Great choice at breakfast. COVID controls in place throughout our stay.
Stayed two nights. Bedroom ok. But bathroom not- the Hilton app proposed an accessible room that had a shower with no glass or curtain, so the whole bathroom would get wet. Also there was no way to regulate the temperature that was too hot even wen set at the most cold setting. And very noisy, I was on the third floor and the train tracks run just a few meters from the window at the same level, with train running every few minutes
The location is very convenient, it is in a small street between the main shopping artery , close to 2 metro station ( one being a large one with shops, restaurants etc). The hotel feels new, it is very modern , room was functional and clean . The breakfast was basic but had everything , lots of space. Everyone was friendly and helpful. One side of the hotel is facing the elevated metro so that could get noisy, my room was facing the street and very quiet. The only minus point would be the gym, the option are very limited and 2 machine ( out of 4 ) were broken. All over it was an excellent option in relation to the rate
The location of this hotel is perfect- close to all the trains and food you could ever need or want! Convenience stores down the street, bio markt a couple blocks away, and breakfast included! The breakfast was great unless you’re vegan. The staff was incredibly helpful- everyone we talked to was truly exceptional. We rented bicycles for the day and they were great and super easy as well. Definitely would stay here again!
Second stay here; the last visit was 4 years ago. A friendly establishment which does what is says on the tin. The breakfast hot meal is bacon & scrambled eggs. A variation with say fried eggs would be a thought?
