A note from The Weinmeister
Updated 11/04/22

#208 of 644 in Berlin
The Weinmeister, sits in the heart of Berlin-Mitte and embodies its chic, contemporary attitude. “The Golden Cage”, as it is affectionately called due to its matte golden metal façade, is visible from every vantage point in the neighbourhood, alluringly drawing in guests and visitors alike. Conceived as the “big brother” of the well established Lux 11, also located in Mitte, The Weinmeister is aimed at business travelers from the film, music, fashion and other creative fields, as well as leisure travelers. Its core philosophy is simple: it focuses on rest, comfort, round-the-clock service and stylish rooms that highlight one piece of furniture - an oversized bed, which acts as a room within a room and suggests “cocooning.” Despite the convenience and excitement that the location affords, guests are very likely to give in to the temptation of staying in their endlessly comfortable rooms or in the luxurious hotel bar at the end of a busy day in the German capital.

Great hotel. Very close to good transport links and within easy walking distance of Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island. After 8:00 p.m there is no reception and if you need to check-in after this time you need to ensure that you've downloaded the app to get into your room. The rooms are very contemporary but lacking tea making facilities, irons or hairdryer. The staff, when they're their, are really friendly. The wifi is free and very fast. I would definitely stay there again.

Located in Mitte - hot part of town. Close to the U-Bahn, walking distance to Alexander Plaz. The hotel has different rooms levels, with larger rooms with bathhab, all with windows to the quiet Weinmeisterstraße. Breakfast served at the lobby for €7.5, inexpensive but also quite basic. Wi-Fi is free, good signal. Clean, tidy, accessible and good service. Recommended without children.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay. Loved our time there. Very close to all public transport, great for getting around. Spotlessly clean room with modern design and a beautiful view of the city rooftops. Loved the artwork all around the hotel. Complete privacy if that is what you want - using the app to check-in and as hotel key was simple and easy. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff who looked after us. Staff at the reception and bar were happy to chat with us and point out some local gems in the area we wouldn't have found by ourselves! I had a small issue with the app after checking out and returning home and was looked after remotely by Thomas, and all was perfect. Thank you for a great stay.

I went there for a 2 night trip. Original hotel, very good bed with a nice view (we were at the 6th floor) in a quiet environment and ideally located. The negative notes would be a quite poor service (very modest breakfast, very limited service offering - no fridge or snacks in the room or at the reception, ...) and cool welcome and service.

Dear Marc V, thank you kindly for your feedback and the honest review. We very much appreciate all notes to constantly improve. Thank you for mentioning the lovely view from the room as well as the comfortable bed which is one of our key notes in each room and you highlighted it perfectly. The small breakfast option available directly in the hotel is a continental breakfast with warm and cold drink options as much as one likes as well as a variety of cheeses and cold cuts, jams, mueslis and of course fresh fruit. We think that for EUR 7,50 per Person this Buffet offers a reasonable price-performance ratio and gets everyone started into the day. Of course, the reception staff is always happy to point out one of several closely located breakfast restaurants and cafes. Everyone that has visited Berlin can do the maths, if the price for a regular coffee somewhere else starts at EUR 3,00, no food included. Of course, fridges are available in the lobby for all our guest’s items. The Bar also has a 24/7 service. Certainly, the reception team would have liked to point out all options for you when contacted, unfortunately we only received the feedback after your stay through TripAdvisor. We would have loved to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Regrettably, The Weinmeister Hotel does not have a restaurant nor a snack machine, we do agree that this would add an extra comfort for our guests, and we will happily investigate this suggestion. However, restaurants, as well as supermarkets and a small kiosk can be found just around the corner from the Hotel. We apologize that these options were not suitable and had such a negative influence on your stay. We can only recommend to carefully look at the outlets of a hotel before booking especially if these factors have such an influence on your stay. The reception team is always just a phone call away and is happy to answer all questions prior to your stay or during your visit. Dear Marc, thank you again for your feedback which we take very seriously, and we are happy to pursue your suggestions for the future. We wish you all the best with your next travels and hope you had a safe journey back home. Kind regards Your Team from The Weinmeister Berlin-Mitte

Not like just another nice 4-star hotel, this a mini-experience in itself. I’ll come back here for sure. Love the interior of the room and of course all the magnificent art! This hotel has just about everything for making your stay efficient, comfortable and very nice. Great location in the Mitte, great serviceminded personnel and, one of the best things, a wonderful bed (which should definitely not be underestimated if, for example, you intend to walk and see a lot. Who doesn't have to sleep comfortably to cope with whatever the coming day has in her mind). See you again soon Weinmaster!
