This has got to be my favorite hotel stay. My partner and I celebrated a very special occasion and stayed in the Extra Large room for 5 nights. It was very hard to leave and explore the city! Lots of space throughout. The freestanding bath in our room was a super plus. Large bathroom, and the shower doubled as a...

My fiancé is a member, we both love the energy at SoHo House. The drinks are 5 star worthy; I can't say this enough. Service at the bar is amazing. The "Matcha Collins" was my all time favorite. I will, however, admit to being HORRIBLY disappointed in the food. I ordered rotisserie chicken & fries. They came to me as...

We stayed here for my husband's 50th with one adult and one teenage daughter. Achingly cool. Great atmosphere in communal areas. Fabulous food. Extremely comfortable beds and bathrooms. Easy walking distance to many of the sights and efficient taxi service if you don't feel like walking. Only thing to bear in mind is that under eighteens aren't allowed in the...

I love everything about this place. There's no reason to leave the venue: great members area, Cecconis, gym, Cowshed Spa, rooftop pool - the list goes on and on. It's my third time and I haven't been disappointed yet. By far the best hotel in Berlin.

We stayed at the Soho House in Berlin with friends. As requested we got a wonderful and quiet room. We chose a small room which is actually a great size. I love the Soho House products and services. They have a great gym and spa (can really recommend a massage). The rooms and products are so great that you actually...

We are members of the Soho House. Love the place in USA but horrible experience here. We ordered two drinks in an empty bar. Waited 20 minutes for a drink. No service or attention. Finally asked the waiter. The bartender hadn't even made the drink. Save your money. Horrible experience in the private club area. Stay local.

Berlin is heartbeat of the youth for Europe, and this hotel is the epicenter of cool, hip and comfortable. There is no grand entry for what was once began as a department store owned by a Jewish family then housed the Reich Youth Leadership and after the fall of the Berlin Wall was rightfully returned to the original Jewish Family...

It is not just a hotel it is a lifestyle. And if you are one of the modern, mobile citizens of the world, this is the right place for you. The atmosphere in the hotel is cool and relaxed, you feel yourself as an insider while staying there. Like knowing a secret which nobody else know. Of course service, quality...

We were instructed not to wear suits when staying at the Soho House and it quickly became apparent: the service is of the very relaxed but efficient kind that makes one feel quickly at home. The staff are uber-friendly and dressed in the main in T Shirts and jeans: this led to my having a conversation with one in the...

I visited Berlin with my wife and 18-year old son. We stayed at this old fascist building in the Mitte district which's become one of the hippest neighborhood in Berlin. We chose the 2-bedroom loft which is basically a 280 square-meter, fully equipped loft. It is just so beatifull. The living room is so big and georgous, perfectly decorated and equipped...

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
