Ok, so when we arrived at 10:30 am we had to wait until 1pm for reception to open to get our keys. This was a very long wait, although I could have felt with that had we been given a warning (I had informed them of our expected arrival time). The receptionist was rather unhelpful and had little to no...

The room was clean and nice. However, bed was very unconfortable, i could hear all my friends moves in the bed. Also the internet was terrible. Almost not working and sometimes not working at all. The location is nice, just right next to metro station. But the unconfortable bed and the weak internet was really bad thing.

Honestly, it was better than we expected. The room is very basic, and not THAT comfy, and I'm not too sure on how clean it was either, but it's proximity to the Alexanderplatz - very short walk or train ride either way- is great! Shower worked fine and toilet was fine. Receptionist was nice. Also, a pretty nice view outside...

I am known for not minding a basic room. I'm someone who just wants to sleep well and everything else I can cope with. At least, I always thought so until I stayed at this place. Quite frankly, the price *should* have set my alarm bells ringing. There's a reason it's cheap folks... Okay, let's start with the negatives: -...

We chose this place because of the reasonable price and it being close to the center and Ostbahnhof/Astra Kulturhaus:). The area is really quiet. The room was very bright, with two beds, a wardrobe, desk with a TV, trashcan and some chairs. Towels are provided and there is shower gel and soap in the shared bathroom. The 5-euro breakfast is...

My 4 night stay cost around £100 in total, with basic buffet breakfast included. Although my single room was in an apartment block annexe 10 minutes walk away, the room was clean and comfortable and was right next to the Strausberger Platz U-Bahn station. Overall, excellent value for money.

Whilst the room was clean and spacious with a balcony we had to walk from the reception about 400 meters to the apartment. There was a kettle for our use but no CUPS! There was 1 bar close to us and no supermarkets for about a mile!! Luckily we found a bakery just over the road where we could get...

We were going to arrive late at this hotel (11pm) so we contacted the hotel before to arrange a late check in. The process was simple. We were told that when we arrived at the hotel that there would be a safety deposit box on the wall outside reception and we had to put a code in. Inside was our...

Its aa good place to stay with a low budget. The room is nice and warm, once was cleaned during 5 days. Bath and WC are common but we deal with it easily. What we liked is a location. Easy to go to nice areas.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
