Sir Savigny has some great features but seems to have an identity crisis. The location is great for restaurants and transport links being just a few stops from the main sights. The decor is deliberately hipster but feels rather artificial and forced. The usual reception desk is replaced by staff who will check you in at a dining table. This...

This place absolutely rocks! Despite intermittent shower spells - inevitable over the Easter weekend; the garden conservatory kept us warm, hydrated and culturally in tune. Greeted daily by the Julius Anders 'Hotel Manager' and Lea's warm smile - 'Reception' made this lifestyle gem our little home away from home! Such class! Coupled with Sir's very own DJmeister - Leon and...

Thanks for such amazing feedback! The team truly enjoyed having you around over the Easter weekend. We are sorry that we couldn’t influence the weather and showcase the amazing city in a better "sun" light, but are thrilled to hear that you'll return for the rest of The Butcher's menu.... See you soon! Warm regards, Sir Savigny

Where to begin? This centrally located hotel is a gem of a find - my second Sir hotel and boy does it maintain the standard! From the cosy winter garden with its roaring fire and uber cool sofa swing, to the courtyard watched over by it's giant Art mistress - it's just coolness everywhere but without pretention. Hungry? Grab a...

The hotel is perfectly located for ITB Berlin. A nice mix of guests. Homely environment and very genuine service. Rooms are small elegant and chic with a great design touch. It feels like a house hot a hotel and fabulous to unwind at the end of a stressful day.

Fantastic place with warmhearted staff, interested and helpful. Interesting decorated room, a bit smal but the large mirrors made it "grow". Beautiful, tasteful "lobby" with many art books and objects on the wall shells.

A gem of a hotel, from the entrance to check out, was very pleased with the the hotel, food and service, for a small boutique hotel always felt relaxed and nothing seemed too much trouble! A great stay and will definitely be back!

A very nice hotel, clean, and clever. Very hipster, the rooms are very pretty. But our room was very small. So if you want to stay here, choose a bigger room. The smallest type are just too tiny for 2 people. A great hotel with a nice bar and cosy courtyard. The one and only minus was the restaurant The...

Thanks for such positive words, despite an unfortunate experience at The Butcher. It's a pleasure to read that you enjoyed your stay and could enjoy the cozy and pretty designed rooms. Our rooms vary in size and some indeed are more for the individual traveler. As the building is already a couple of years old and not a purpose build...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sir Savigny, an entitled member of the SIR hotels family, breathes a creative spirit into the hip heart of the old West. His luxury boutique hotel is a gateway to Berlin's upscale Charlottenburg area, situated directly on the famous Savignyplatz in the City West's vibrant Art Nouveau district, with-in walking distance from the legendary Kurfurstendamm, Berlin's shopping oasis. Sir Savigny himself is a cultivated yet witty cosmopolitan culinary host for lifestyle travellers, locals and neighbours. He created the most welcoming environment with his stylish-yet-entirely-casual approach to design. Sir Savigny welcomes you in his kitchen where you can discuss the aesthetics of Fassbinder at his kitchen table, while sipping a Manhattan and enjoying a bloody delicious burger from his in-house kitchen, The Butcher. ... more   less
