Great hotel! We took the standard double room and it was honestly much larger than the pictures make it out. The bathroom too - much nicer than the photos. Huge shower and very large rooms. The bed was wonderfully comfy and big. We discovered a great little cafe across the road from the hotel and each day we had coffee and pastries fresh from there! The best thing is the location! only 7 mins away from gendarmenmarkt where we visited a lovely christmas market. Its about 20 mins from all other big monuments! I recommend for anyone visiting Berlin. If you are taking the U-Bahn there is a station right opposite the hotel! Negatives: - very very dark hallways, I know this is the design but I really didn't like it! - no tea/coffee making facilities in the room!!
Excellent hotel, both for business as well as leisure travel. Basic but quite good breakfast. Excellent room with great facilities. Location is also very good. Better to ask for rooms overlooking the park as it is much quieter. Price is also very reasonable.
Stayed 8/10 to 10/10 with my wife for our anniversary. The hotel staff were wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is completely covid compliant and makes you feel safe. The breakfast was enjoyable and gave us a great start to the day. Cosmo is centrally located and only a short walk away from old town.
We stayed for 6 nights at the end of July in one of their Comfort Rooms on the 8th floor. The room was a decent size with a nice bathroom and a balcony. All in all very comfortable and well furnished rooms. Great beds and sleep quality. I advise to get a room towards the park. Shower was really good, with lots of water pressure and really hot water (if you want to). There was no "desk" in the room which was a bit annoying. Housekeeping was on top of their game and the room was clean and fresh every day. The hotel is very well located with easy access to underground and bus services. But Alexanderplatz, Berliner Dom, TV Tower, and even Checkpoint Charly +++ are also in walking distance. Due to Corona restrictions we had to pre-book a time for breakfast, but all was very well organized and well executed. Kudos for that. You can get a Kettle from the reception if you want one, but there no Tea/Coffee facilities in the room as standard. We brought our own coffee maker, so no problem. We were checked in early and Mrs Martens and all other staff at the reception and breakfast were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you very much. There were a few niggles concerning the A/C (still working at an ok temperature) and some shades on one of the large windows, but that was not really a problem. Otherwise good Wifi and very good value for money. A set of chairs and a small table would have made the balcony even nicer. Unfortunately, due to Corona we were unable to enjoy the gym and the Sauna during our visit.…
When we arrived via train from the airport which I'd like to add was super easy we weren't quite sure that we'd picked the right spot to stay. However we were proved wrong close to everything and if not walking distance the train/subway is literally 5 minute walk. Various Christmas markets were on the doorstep so to speak. But not only was the location great the hotel its self and the staff were all absolutley lovely. The room had everything you would need as well for a city break. Would highly recommend.
Really enjoyed my stay here. Friendly staff, Very comfortable well furnished rooms, great selection on breakfast too. It's about 20 minute walk from the Reichstag and the Alexanderplatz. Across the road from the U-Bahn and a short bus journey away from Kreuzberg (well worth a visit). If you are coming in from Schonefeld then take the train to alexanderplatz and walk or swap to get the U-Bahn.
I have stayed at this hotel many times for work - it is always great . The breakfast is amazing and the rooms are very clean. Sometimes they run hot but you can open the windows to let some air in. The staff are super nice and accommodating .
Great service, very helpful, quiet room. We didn't eat in the hotel. Just opposite the underground and 5 mins from Alexanderplatz. The room was a bit chilly and the I reported this to the reception who said that we could borrow a heater. It read 21C on the wall but it was more like 17 or 18. Overall, a great hotel and I would stay there again. Great value. No tea or coffee in the room. At the bar a pot of tea and pint was about €8.
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in December and we had a great stay at Cosmo Hotel. The hotel was easily accessible from Schönefeld airport using public transport; we took the RB14 train and then the Metro Line U2 for €3.40 each. We took a taxi back to Tegel airport and that cost just under €30.00. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable! The only thing we did miss was having a kettle with tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast at the hotel was good and there was plenty to choose from. The location was really good and we walked everywhere, even to East Side Gallery which was a pleasant 40 minute stroll. The hotel was in a great location for visiting the Christmas markets too! A special thanks to the guy on reception, Beck, who managed to check us into our room earlier than their usual 4pm check-in time, and for excellent food & sightseeing recommendations! …
I was in Berlin for my Birthday and my wife had booked this hotel. Happy to say that I had a really good stay in Berlin and the hotel and the staff just added to making it better. They upgraded our room and also left a small pastry to celebrate the birthday. The location of the room is great and easily accessible by public transport connecting you to airport and hauptbahnof. The Alexanderplatz is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. The room staff as already said was very helpful, the room was clean and well maintained. I will recommend this hotel to everyone for your budget.
