Ours was a "standard" room. Third floor, facing the street. Little street noise (double glazed). Occasional thumping noises from a nearby door slammer but otherwise quiet. Comfortable bed. Good air con - it was 34C outside but very cool in room. Obviously there are different room layouts - ours had a separate bathroom & shower. No issues with lighting, in...

Let me start with the good things - great breakfast buffet - friendly Front Desk - clean room - good bed HOWEVER---- Toilet is in a separate room with NO separate light. If you want to use the toilet during the nite, you turn on the switch which lights the toilet room AND the bedroom. Which, of course, wakes up...

This hotel was one of the best we ever visited on a city-trip. The hotel is centraly located and the rooms are great! In the morning you can enjoy a really great breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. We did everything from the closely locateded metro station, just around the corner.

The Leonardo is on a quiet tree-lined street. Around the corner is conveniently located a grocery store and the u-bahn station -- making it a great location for budget travel. The staff was very helpful. Some amenities that come standard in hotels in the states (such as an in-room fridge, or an in-room iron) were not standard. You could go...

This is the 4th hotel i've stayed at in Germany and by far the best and, relative to cost, it is better than many others I can remember. Breakfast (not incl) seems pricey but is great quality and can set you up for the day so probably worth it. Generally, customer service very good, especially the attractive blonde day receptionist...

The hotel in generally is very good. The location us good. The reception is also welcome, The breakfast is excellent. The problems begin with the room .it very small and in very strange arrangement. The internet is exepensive. In most of the hotels its free I will come back but not to such a room no. 129.

The Leonard is a few steps away from the tube at Bismark S t which means a U2 into town and all mail places and U7 from the airport ,,easy ,even for a travel anxious person like me. It feels entirely safe to walk around the area, as did all of Berlin, and its just a walk to the palace...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
