I often stay at motel one, this was a nice stay, as it is most of the time Our room was loud, there is a bar outside the hotel, mostly blocked by a different building. They play music until 4 in the morning. At normall levels during the day but really turn it up after midnight. You will hear all night , Thrump, Thrump, thhump of the base. If you dont want this, stay out of rooms 38 and 40 on floors 3 through 8 ( I was on floor 6). If you plan to be down in the Bar, then this wont effect you 😉
We stayed here for 3 nights for a city break and I have to say this is one of the best, if not the best hotel I have stayed in. The hotel is right next to the S/U Bahn at Alexanderplatz along with the local trams and buses so is ideally situated. On arrival I was met by friendly staff who were polite and helpful. The entrance area is really up market and relaxing and the room itself was excellent. All finished to a high spec with all of the usual inclusions such as TV, towels, shower gels, seat, table, comfortable bed and a fantastic view of Berlin from the 12th floor to boot. Sleep wise the room was very quiet. We spent a bit of time relaxing in the main bar area (floor 2). The bar is done out in similar décor to the main part of the hotel and is very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful with background music. Staff are on hand to assist and are polite. We had breakfast one morning and this was your standard European offering for 13 euro's which is not too bad. Again, service impeccable. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. Great value for money, rooms and hotel spotless, excellent facilities, staff friendly and central location. What more can you ask for.…
We got a line S9 from the airport direct to Alexanderplatz. The hotel is 2 mins walk. We tried to book in an hour early but this was not possible although they did offer bag storage. A handy thing. Check in was easy. They wanted payment up-front which is unusual but perhaps they have had bad experiences. We were on the 17th floor (Room 17007). It was small but perfect for a cheapish stay -£82.47 per night. The view was amazing. The bed was comfortable. There was a TV with limited choices of English-language programmes, a small table and chair and reasonable storage options. Good to see a free room safe. Although close to a busy train station not very noisy. The lifts worked perfectly during our 4 night stay. We did have breakfast once. The choices were good but the breakfast area was very crowded and at £11.30 each not ideal. Staff in the buffet were very busy and one was a little grumpy. However you could eat and drink as much as you'd like so most people would be pleased with the variety of breads, rolls, pastries and continental fare. We would visit this hotel again. Its a perfect location and close to Museum Island and the main central sites. The staff were friendly and attentive. A great choice. On the way back we discovered a train from the station directly to the airport in 25 minutes. It was line RE7 with an hourly service.…
I cannot say I am a fan of Motel One. Travelling for business, I miss a proper closet, a coffe machine or a tea pot in my room and some kind of minibar. Still, as my colleagues were staying there I of course joined them. Very early check in (9:30) but my room was available. A nice modern room, without a special view, but very quiet, a good bed for a relaxing sleep. Nice bar on the second floor, in the same location where you can have the breakfast, which at 13,50€ is a good value for money. Besides the hotel itself, the position is indeed a plus. It is attached to Alexanderplatz, at some 100 mt. form the train station which brings you to the airport and close to a number of shops and shopping centers. For a good dinner Berlin has many choices, a few close to the hotel, but the majority of the neighbouring eateries are just food chains. On the negative side, the cleaning of the tables at breakfast time. Being there for a fair, everybody was eating more or less at the same time, and there was not enough personnel to clean the tables for the following guest, so in some cases the clients were just pushing the dirty dishes aside to make some room to have their own breakfast. Not exactly a good strategy against COVID, but as Germany relaxed the rules, probably this is now admitted. A paying parking is at 50 mt from the hotel.…
Me and my boyfriend went to leave some luggage after our flight at 11.30am although the website says check in is at 3 the lovely man on the desk let us into our room early!! and even better, gave us a free upgrade to the 15th floor with a view! We were absolutely chuffed and so happy the view was incredible over the TV tower. Room was tidy and Morden a little small but had everything you needed. Location was great right next to alexanderplatz station with trains and trams. Would definitely recommend and will tell friends and family to go here if visiting Berlin. Two happy customers :)
Wonderful hotel, with an amazing view and a very friendly and helpful stuff! The room was always clean and with a modern design. The location is also great cause you can visit a lot of places like museums that are near to this hotel! Bis bald!
This hotel is Situated in a great location, it’s Central to most places that you will want to visit. Most things are with I’m walking distance 1-2 miles 15-30 mins away. Check point Charlie is about a 30 min walk as is Brandenburg gate. East side Gallery is a little bit more about 40 mins. They are loads of bars and restaurants local, but they really are not the best food. You should visit more hidden areas that you will find if you go for a walk. The main station will take you straight to the airport also. S9 line on platform 3 usually. Also if you want to venture out a little bit more then you are in the perfect location. As for the hotel, it’s room and quite nice and you have a big glass door that opens for lots of nice views and fresh air. They also have a nice room top bar. I believe it’s only open Thursday-Sunday…
Visited for anniversary from the Uk. Location is great, very central and a short walk from the Sbhan station. Take the S9 from the airport for £3 and get off at Alexanderplatz. A really quick and cost effective airport transfer. Hotel check in was painless, quick and English speaking hosts. The reception area is really nice and modern and the hotel has 5 lifts so we never had issues waiting. I requested a high room to get the views over Berlin l and whilst we never got the TV tower side I actually preferred the east side for the wonderful sunrises! Note the bedroom windows open really wide with a glass balustrade to allow you to take in the full views. Bedroom was quite small but ample for our long weekend cases. Very modern and comfortable. The bathroom is nice with great shower The cleanliness is superb in every area of the hotel Sadly the high bar was full when we tried to take a drink but is st reduced capacity with Covid and we couldn’t book We never took breakfast. Instead we booked breakfast at the tv tower which is highly recommended and a 2 minute walk away! Overall we loved our stay here and would use the chain again and recommend to family…
Beautiful new rooms with very nice, clean, modern bathrooms (what I’m most interested in). Wonderful garden terrace and excellent reception with extremely well selected relaxing furniture. Will be coming back for sure.
I stayed her for 3 nights and the location is perfect. Literally 2 minute walk from Alexanderplatz station. Rooms were small, but very comfortable and clean. The whole style of the hotel is very cool and modern. Didn’t choose to have breakfast as there are plenty of food outlets nearby. Thoroughly recommend and would stay again.
