Online booking system broke several times while trying to book. Even though the booking had been confirmed with my credit card I was sent a confusing email saying I needed to pay, which I thought we had already done. This took to a non Capri website which looked like a phishing scam, but confirmed with the front desk it was real. Was assured at booking we would be given a non street facing room and late check out. Upon check in we were given a street facing room and we were confirmed late check out. ON the morning of check out, reception called asking why we hadn't checked out - they had forgotten/lost this requsest since their systems were down and would need us out urgently. We asked for 45 minutes to gather our things and in that time had an frustrated member of the cleaning team at our door asking why we hadn't checked out. Overall it was a very poor experience, only made worse by the fact the aircon was broken in the building in the summer time. At checkout we were asked how was our stay, we kindly communicated we did have some issues with the experience and were offered excuses for all these things going wrong. My impression of Capri is not strong and I regularly visit the city for work and will not visiting again. …
This hotel is in a great location with easy access to all the tourist attractions. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Common areas were well kept and seating in lobby was cool and quirky. The hotel is built on old historical walls so it was nice to see the feature flooring in lobby. Would 100% recommend staying at Capri.
Good size rooms, with confortable beds. The location couldn't be better. It is not possible to open the room windows. The staff are efective, but if you ask something about the city activities they don't have nothing to recomend you. It would be nice to have some opinion from a local.
This property contains self serviced apartments and is NOT a hotel. There is no option for room service or in-room dining. Staff refused our request for assistance when we asked for basic items which were missing from our room. It is specified on arrival that housekeeping will be provided every second day. On our second day of our stay, we specifically requested this to remind staff and ensure this happened. It did not. There is no bar/restaurant area and no other facilities apart from computers in the main lobby. The location of this accommodation is poor with no local restaurants/cafes/bars nearby. For the same price and location of this hotel you can certainly find a much more convenient and helpful accommodation, which we will be certain to do on our next visit to Berlin.
Very nice modern hotel. The rooms are big, modern and clean with nice beds, bedding and toiletries. There was even a little kitchen area that you could use in your room, plus communal laundry facilities. There isn’t that much in the way of food and drink directly next to the hotel but a lot of museums are close and the location is pretty good overall. We would definitely stay again.
After spending 2h in the lobby waiting for my room at check in, and after I asked multiple times what happens and when I can get the room, every time getting 'we are sorry, it's taking a few more minutes' I got a stunning response that it will take 'another 1h30'! When I said this is unacceptable, the staff became defensive and kept saying 'this is not my fault', and did not do any effort to find a solution. I then asked them if, in the more than the 2h I was waiting, ANY room would be cleaned and ready, so I can check in, the response was 'yes, but it will not be on the 5th floor'! As if I had asked for a specific room!
Hotel and room was spacious and clean. Leaving a low score due to the fact that few days prior to our arrival I spoke to two different staff member asking if they could organise a little bday detail for my partner. I´m guessing the have forgotten about it , because as we started the check in , balloons were pulled out and taken to our room in quite obvious way, my partner even joked that it must be for him... so not much of a surprise after all :(
The Capri is a very stylish, comfortable and smart hotel, conveniently located on the Spree and within steps from historic sites. The rooms are smart and well equipped, the on-site facilities are a plus, and all the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient.
Good apartment hotel in a nice and practical location. Modern and at the same time central, a few minutes away from Unter den Linden or Alexanderplatz. Rooms quite small but functional with everything needed, good for a one-week stay. Helpful staff. There was some mess at check-in (wrong room, cutlery missing in the room) but it was resolved.
I really love to stay in this place, but for a couple I recommend just few days because if you need to make some food that need oven is not possible. On the place just have a small Microave and stove. Indeed it woks very well. But I missed oven.
