Great hotel! Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, brilliant breakfast with lots of choice and cater for all dietary needs and allergies. Also knowledgeable with area and transport options. Cost of drinks/snack on par with other places of Berlin, not over priced for hotel. Thank you for a great stay

Hotel's Favourite
Really nice and modern hotel, with a great breakfast buffet. Very central in East Berlin, close to Alexander Platz, Railway , tram, and Subway station! This were our second stay at the hotel, and next time we visit Berlin, we properly will choose it again. Parking in their basement are 26€ /24 hour.

We booked the Hampton as part of a christmas markets package deal with jet2 from the UK. Handily located a few minutes walk from the transport hub that is Alexanderplatz we found the place fairly easily on foot having arrived from Berlin airport by tram. reception was suprisingly busy for nearly midnight but the staff got us checked in and directed us how to find our rooms. We had two rooms -one for my teen daughter, and one for myself and the wife. Being late and having been travelling for a few hours we wanted to get to bed, we lobbed my daughter and her case in one of the rooms we had been allocated, and dragged our case to the other. It wasn't until the next evening we realised how much difference there was between the two rooms. The only rooms we were able to book were dissabled access rooms, presumably because the hotel was neraly full, my daughters room was much bigger than ours with a full settee, and a view of the Berliner Fernsehturm (tv tower) our room was much smaller, with a slightly larger bathroom, and views over a tower block looking like it was ready for demolition -still usable, but feeling a little dispointing compared to my daughters room. The breakfast was always busy, so try to avoid peak times, the cooked options varied in quality, some days it very nice, other days the hash brown were hard as nails. the rest of the breakfast buffet was first rate with a wide variety of fruits, breads and sliced meats. My daughter really liked the waffle machine, for which there was always a queue, but she considered it worth the wait. The staff were always helpfull and the place was clean and tidy.

We chose this hotel primarily because of the location. It’s about 5-10 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz station and also an easy walk to the Brandenburg Gate and the sights along the way. The room was a good size with plenty of space, a desk for the laptop, a kettle (hooray!) and wardrobe. Internal noise was minimal. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and I think it was open for 4 hours in the morning which gave us a lot of flexibility. The fitness room was decent too, a few cardio machines, multi gym and free weights. A good value stay.

Why no fridge in the room - it was a real dissapointment. The location was ok - 10 minutes walk to the station. Breakfast was average , no staff present and self serve cafateria style. The hotel was clean and beds comfortable , staff were freindly and responisve.

During my stay at the Hampton by Hilton Berlin on 20.12.23, I experienced an unfortunate series of events that included theft and inadequate security measures. My laptop and earbuds were stolen from my room during a brief 3-hour absence, and a similar incident occurred in another room on a different floor, involving the theft of a laptop and phone. The hotel staff's reluctance to review security camera footage and their lack of cooperation were particularly concerning, which raises questions about the effectiveness of the hotel's safety measures. During our subsequent discussion with the manager, an external involvement was suggested, attributing the incident to a possible gang from outside. However, we find this explanation puzzling, especially considering the specific detail that both rooms involved had requested third card keys the same evening that the theft happened. Only hotel staff knew about the 3rd card that has been requested. It’s worth mentioning that the acces to the lift, all hotel floors and rooms requires a hotel card. So suggesting that the person from outside could have been responsible is highly unlikely in our opinion. Upon check-out, we waited at the reception for an extended period, hoping to discuss any updates on our case with the manager. However, the manager did not make himself available, demonstrating a disregard for our concerns and leaving us with no information on the progress of our case. This lack of communication and engagement further compounded our dissatisfaction and suspicions. In light of this experience, I must advise against staying at this establishment. The Hilton chain is known for its high standards, but this experience falls significantly short of those expectations. Consider carefully before choosing this establishment, and if you do stay, ensure the safety of your personal belongings by either hiding or securing them.

Ask yourself do you really really want to go to Berlin ? Reception male staff rude, breakfast staff rude. On checking in we were heavily persuaded to change to a queen size room and not use the twin room we had booked. We looked at the queen size room and it was tiny at the back of the hotel. We hastily returned to reception to say NO we're not having the queen size room to be greeted with Everyone wants a twin room. Well it was what we had booked and paid for. I also saw 3 male reception staff laughing at two young ladies that were checking in. We later spoke to the girls who were really upset and did not know why these members of staff were laughing at them. Breakfast often runs out of food cuttlery etc but if you dare ask you will be greeted with a loud Wait a minute. We didn't like the area of the hotel and did not feel safe. The views from the rooms and the so called city views are awful. We have travelled an awful lot and Berlin is by far the worst city we have ever visited. There are currently lots of construction and roads works. Bus stops have moved 200 meters. Berlin has a flu epidemic ATM and lots of bus train drivers are off sick. Do see photos

Lovely hotel, just 5 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz. We stayed in a twin room which was well laid out with the usual safe, kettle and amenities. Daily breakfast had plenty of choice, and the hotel had a nice little bar which served chocolate, snacks and a variety of hot food, as well as alcohol. Would recommend this hotel

We stayed for three nights, Monday to Thursday, in a double room. This had a queen-sized bed and a small couch which can be pulled out to make another bed. If you needed to use the second bed, the room would be quite small, I think, but for a couple, it was perfect. Housekeeping was very efficient. The hotel was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Some other reviewers mentioned problems at breakfast but we didn't experience any of that. Plenty of tables available, even after 9a.m., supposedly the busiest time. Great selection of food, I thought. The location is very convenient, a short walk or tram ride from Alexanderplatz. Would certainly stay here again.
