We were booked into the Seminaris Campus Hotel during a workshop in Berlin and we really enjoyed how the hotel is nestled into the quiet area of Dahlem, which can easily be reached by U-Bahn from the inner city center. The rooms were nice and the staff really helpful. There are some nice restaurants in the vicinity and you can jogg in the alleys.
Great location, rooms were clean, staff is friendly, near a U-station (2 min walk) within 15 min in the centre of Berlin, enough parking possibilities on street and parking garage, good for a (few) day(s) if you passing through Berlin
The stay was enjoyable and smooth at the Seminaris Campus Hotel. The service the staff is very helpful and the location of the hotel is very convenient for the activities I do in Berlin. On the other hand, the surrounding area is very
I would like to recommend this hotel. Alas, I cannot. It is beautifully built and designed by star architect Helmut Jahn, nicely located in Dahlem and conveniently placed next to the departments of the nearby University. The rooms are bright and spatious, and from the layout everything seems to be right. When I will now cut my long-time relationship (with several tens of nights of stays) with this hotel, it is because the management is awkward. Often, the recention is often understaffed and unfriendly. The pivotal moment, however, was when I had booked a hotel rooms for two nights to get come work done. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, so I asked whether a room was available. When I learned that this would only be true late in the afternoon, I tried to cancel the already paid room via Booking.com, but could not. Either way, the next day, I came and asked for my room. What had happened is that they had already closed that booking and have given my already paid for room to someone else. What followed was not a clear communication about a tough - and in some ways unfair - policy, after all, I had paid for the room (overall an amount of 178 Euros). What had happened is that the room was doublebooked, which is what airlines do as well, but at least they are honest about it. Instead, I was lied to, it was claimed that Booking.com would not pay for the room anyway (blatantly untrue, as can easily be verified) or that the room was not given away (equally untrue). All this was communicated by a person who had not only no manners of letting people make a point, but he made an impression of being grabbed from the street and placed behind the counter. All this was only completed by a whining how much Booking.com would take for its bookings. This level of dishonesty, unprofessional and unfriendly communication was just too much to bear. So thanks, but no thanks.…
We really enjoyed our stay with our children. The rooms are cleaned and spacious. The situation was quite unusual due to Covid-19 and its measures. The breakfast in particular was a bit hectic. But the food is very good.
