This hostel was great. The location was central. Only a 10 minute walk to the Brandenburg gate. The staff was very helpful and can direct you wherever you want to go. Jus about a block away there is great Bavarian resturant, it was so close and good we ate there twice.

The room was good and the staff helpful and friendly. The Hostel is very big and busy. We didn't spend much time there except the last night, which we stayed until late in the lounge. We were satisfied in overall and it was the first time they gave us towels in a hostel.

The place was dirty, the room was okay, but when I got to the restroom I was negatively surprised, it smells really bad, the kind of smell that makes you sick when you're trying to use the sanitary. I booked the place for 3 nights, I left in the first morning, sorry, never recommend it!

We stayed here in January 2017 in a room for 4 persons. The best thing about this hostel is the price (if you book in advance) and the perfect location - Mitte, 1 min. walking from the u2 station, ideal for sightseeing. The staff is very responsive, nice and friendly. We got a big and bright room and very comfortable...

Good hotel in an excellent location. Our room (six people with private bathroom) was very clean as well as the and bathroom. The only bad thing was not to have towels in our room when we arrived. But the situation was solved in the morning of the next day. Breakfast is simple but enough to start the day.

Very good location. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Big and bright room, big and comfortable beds, fresh bedsheets. The heating is perfect for cold winters in Berlin. The double room consists of a large sleeping area, separate bathroom with a shower and separate toilet. The only sink is in the sleeping area and a shelf and a mirror...

Easy walk from Alexanderplatz. Internet was terrible. Late checkout and refunding deposit for checking out a day early was nice. Rooms, at least dorms, do not include bathrooms. Bathrooms in hallway. Nice big pillow.

The hostel was what you'd expect of a hostel. The rooms were small and they had a bathroom. I was not enormously impressed by the cleanliness (there was a wrapper in one of the bunk beds and some mysterious stains one of the sheets). The staff were however very friendly. When we asked for clean towels, they gave them without...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
