We only spent one night at this hotel and our stay was very pleasant. The room was clean, well furnished and comfortable. Fast wifi. the only disadvantage is that in the morning you could hear alarmclocks of other guests repeatedly.
Very friendly welcome from the lady on reception, good local transport help also, room was perfect, clean, quiet and secure, drinks and food available and the metro station (Kaulsdorf) wasnt a long walk away either, that will take you straight to Berlin centre easily, lots of parking also
Very good hotel for it's price. The room was clean and tidy, large bed and private bathroom. Very good breakfast. Quite and nice area, about an hour to get to the city center but communication is good - bus + S-Bahn. Nice personnel.
Room is spotless and exactly resembles the picture, thats a first. Service lady was friendly. Room looks pretty standard but bed has a really comfortable mattress. Verdict: Cheap, clean, good wifi, but location is far from anything exciting.
The service was almost invisible - we felt that the hotel is left only for us. :) Everything was ok, we informed that we will get to the hotel in the night and the key was waiting for us in a closet. Free wifi.
Hotel was good..room was good..staff very helpful.. proximity to store like Penny and Netto..Bus stand 2-3minutes walking distance. But location is very far from the Berlin HBF..Dont go for S5 connectivity as it will be around2-3km walk on uneven surface...choose bus option as bus stand is just 2-3 minutes away
When I arrived the receptionist was efficient but not welcoming at all. No smile or friendly greeting. Apparently the credit card machine can’t print receipts and you don’t get an invoice. Perhaps if you insist for long enough. As I found elsewhere in Berlin they emphasize that reception is only open at certain times. They’re taken aback when you ask what to do if there’s a problem out of hours. At night there was a lot of noise, shouting, banging, slamming doors from other guests in the corridors, outside and upstairs that carried on into the early hours. The bar is also a smoking room so the smoke drifted up to my room. When I got back in the evening I found the curtain was too small to cover the window and the pillow was old and lumpy. As the reception was closed there were no staff to be found and I just had to put up with it. No staff around to speak to the next morning either. The bed linen was clean and the room fairly clean except for dusty net curtains and mildew in the shower. The room was a bit dated but as a budget hotel everything was about what you’d expect. There was a tourist information stand with leaflets of Berlin’s attractions which I found useful. The location is probably fine if you have a car but it’s a 20 min walk to the station which is quite sketchy at night as the only path runs partly through the woods. In all it’s 50 mins to Alexanderplatz. Besides supermarkets and a Chinese takeaway there is nowhere to eat within walking distance and unless you have the breakfast at the hotel you have to go into the city to find a café that serves breakfast.…
it was OK. the double bed was a little crowded in some you could not get out of it! all cramped toilet bowl. Breakfast very good! hot water function optimally. Internet ok ! however if you should still travel to Berlin again I would choose hotelulB1
If you want to have a place for one night or two. Good choice, but no more. The smell of cigarette's smoke. Not so clean bathroom. As plus I see a really good and big bad. There is several food shops around and bus stops. Not so far is a train stop and some fastfoods. There is a lake near behind. WiFi was fast. If you want to see the center of the city, you need to travel almost a hour.
We stayed for two nights, for the first day the wifi and all internet in the hotel was down and when I enquired about what was going on with it I was told it was "caput" and it was not there problem that I needed to be in contact with work back in Australia. The whole hotel stank of cigarette smoke and even in our room on third floor the smell of cigarettes was potent. As an added bonus when doing our room sweep we checked under the bed and found a purple dildo left behind from previous guests.... You can't make that up.
