There was a facade covering the front of the hotel, so no views unfortunately. The hotel is clean and comfortable with decent-sized rooms. It is close to the train station and appears to be in a 'hipster' area and is apparently close to the East Gallery. Staff were welcoming but not over the top-friendly. There were a few intresting types...

I was here for a tour group stay. It was not far from the centre of the city, with a train station close by (three stops to the CBD). The staff were helpful, breakfast was fantastic and there were plenty of cafes in the area. The area is very hip with some 'interesting' characters, so maybe not a hotel for...

The hotel was clean and spacious. We stayed in the old building so there's no air conditioning but the hotel provided a fan instead. As the hotel was right next to the night clubs, it's very noisy at night. The location of the hotel was good because it's only 3 stations away from the city centre and the train station...

Very basic hotel in a noisy area. There is a bar area across the street from the hotel, so there is quite a lot of noise during the night. But if you are one of the people responsible of the noise, then this hotel is great for you :) Rooms are clean and large enough. However, there were some things...

Klassik Hotel is an adequate place to stay for a short trip if you're on a budget. It's outside central Berlin but on a train line so it's easy enough to get into central Berlin. The rooms are spacious and clean but there seemed to be a lot of plumbing issues when I was there. My toilet didn't flush and...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Our room was small but we were compensated by a nice view over the city. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of different tasty foods. The S-Bahn station "Warschauer Strasse" is in walking distance. From there you can travel to many of the city's attractions and even directly to the airport....

This hotel had some outstanding qualities, but also some let downs. The room was the largest we had throughout our two months exploring Europe. Very spacious and clean with a lovely big bathroom. Only complaint was that it was very hot, and there was a sign on the door/window saying not to open it as the front of the hotel...

I should start by saying that I had the reservation long before the stay. No one mentioned that the hotel will be renovated at the time of arrival. So: scaffolds at every room window! Next to our arrival I was surprised to notice that our request for 2 single beds was not met by the hotel staff (solved after making...

Whilst the hotel is by no means close to the eastern centre around Alexanderplatz, the train goes direct to the stations around this area and only takes around 10mins. As for the hotel itself, the rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was 'OK' Nevertheless this hotel has serious flaws. Firstly there is no air conditioning making for a very...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.

“Must have a working air-con system. Despite what the manager may say in reply to my review, the room air-con system *did not* work and the room became intolerable after a few hours. So the windows were opened. And then it becomes so noisy that you might as well save some money and go sleep on the street.”
