#9 of 45 hotels in Rothenburg
Our hotel garni mor like a B&B is in a very peaceful location inside the famous and ancient walls of Rothenburg, nearby the old smithy. Sleep in a well cared-for atmosphere. The Kreuzerhof lies in the heart of Rothenburg, the romantic old town, under the shadow of a 30 m high tower.

This family-run hotel is well worth more than a short stopover. We had a very good experience and enjoyed high quality services on all fronts: very good mattresses in individually furnished rooms (we had the spacious suite with a ceiling fan, two sofas). A lot of small practical details are well thought-out and make you feel at home, like for example well thought-out wardrobe space and small utensils. The bathroom has a window. The breakfast is generous and delicious, including everything from regional organic, locally grown products, including even homemade jams. You will not find any industrial goods. The location is central and practical, too. You can leave your car in the rose-covered courtyard and explore Rothenburg by foot. The landlord recommended local wines to us, as well as some nice things to do in town that are entirely free and a bit off the beaten track. Next to the hotel is a forest swimming pool and our hosts generously provided us with extra towels for the pool. On our next visit, we would like to try the holiday flat, which is currently being added to the hotel.

This is a wonderfully comfortable and quaint well-located hotel in Rothenburg. It is clearly an older property but it is nicely renovated and retains the character if the old city. The proprietor went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, including making the room for our travelling companion who was in a wheel chair. It is a easy walk to the local sights. The breakfast was served in a beautiful room and included delicious German fare in meats, cheeses, breads etc. It is a perfect place to stay if you appreciate blending in with the historic town.

This B&B is located inside the wall, very convenient for exploring the old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Within walking distance from the train station, Rodertor Gate. We had triple room. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was great served by owner. We recommend this B&B for budget travellers. Next time we're in Rothenburg, we will stay here again!

Good: The staff were very helpful and sincere. Breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, a selection of bread, cold meat and yogurt etc. and a hot drink of your choice) was great. Location was perfect as the hotel is very close to the station and the main part of the town, but not too close so it was quiet during the night. Could do better: Bathroom had a wet-dog like smell and was a bit old so the water from the shower was at a risk of flooding the whole floor(careful with the taps!). Also, the walls were thinner than anticipated(we could hear exactly what people in the hallway were saying) but that's about it.

Great hotel to stay at INSIDE the walled city of Rothenburg. This hotel is a short walk to the old Town Hall and square. Wonderful location. This is the only quad room we stayed in with our son and daughter. It worked for us and the price was great. The bathroom was very large and nice. The owner has a quince tree in the courtyard and he picked them fresh off the tree. Found out he makes homemade jam from them and we all bought a jar after tasting it in the breakfast room. We also had scrambled eggs and wonderful bacon here for breakfast along with the typical German breakfast items. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those wanting to be right inside the city wall and all it has to offer. As a side note, do the Night Watchman Tour. George is very entertaining! Enjoy this beautiful, historic city.
