Everything in our stay was unfortunately influenced by a very bad start. We arrived late in the evening (9 o’ clock) and we were barely gone through the reception door before the receptionist yelded stop, stop. He would not permit us even to come inside until we had shown coronapass in the Street …..Of course our papers was completely in order, we are fully vacinated. And of course we vere waring mouthprotection. It was extremely unpleasant to be shouted at even before we had taken one step, inside. Naturally it is importen to check guest, but it can be done a lot more friendly. If it had been earlier in the day we would have switched hotel, now it was too late. The room was probably okay, we didn’t pay much attention. The breakfast average, a okay selection, but presented on a buffet, not coronafriendly.

This hotel was in the perfect location! It’s well within walking distance to all the must-see sites in the city (i.e. city walls, cathedral, gate, etc.). In addition to the various sites, the hotel is also in close proximity to several restaurants. It’s also worth nothing that the breakfast at the hotel was tasty and the dining room provides a wonderful view. I highly recommend this hotel!

Everyone had a bad hotel experience once in their lives, but this place tops it all. We booked the expensive room with a Taubertal view and were put into a disgusting room with a f$cked up chair, one hole and a crack in the wall. Complaining helped and we were put in a better room (the one we booked in the first place). The other room had a broken lamp and a non functional A/C... Excuses were made and the A/C was fixed. We even got a replacement lamp. After looking around on day two we found traces that cleaning the bathroom would have been nice too. Please don't book here, but if you do ... Make pictures and complain at the reception.

1-night stay: Friendly and helpful front desk staff who stored our bags prior to check-in time. PROS- *Parking was just across the block and around the corner. Cheap (8.50 euros), secure, convenient, stress-free (open gravel lot). *Room was clean and very spacious with excellent view of the valley below. Historic feel/decor (old) but beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning was an appreciated bonus. *Bathroom was small but beautifully updated and had really nice smelling soaps. *Although we didn't utilize the common spaces, having so many open gathering spots is perfect for families/groups. Each floor had a large "living room" while the main level also had game tables. *Breakfast was included. The service and dining areas were beautiful. I found plenty of options (eggs, toast, veggies, cheese). The coffee machine made very good cappuccino! Good coffee is really appreciated when traveling. CONS- *Kids were upset that the Wifi was bad. We weren't in the room much so I was not concerned. *We wish there were a few more kid-friendly options for breakfast. OVERALL- Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable, safe, and stately hotel. Will for sure stay here again. COVID- Bring proof of negative tests for kids along with their passports and proof of adult vaccination.

Very comfortable hotel with plenty of room parking and a good breakfast. Great furnishings in the German style. Town is nice with Christmas shops bars and a mechanical town clock. We would stay there again and explore the good walking.
