It is one of stop along the romantic road, I stayed here one day then move to Neuschwanstein Castle. The hotel is small but there is a elevator there! We are on the 3rd floor face to church, our rooms located at the two ends of the living room, there are a big sofa and table in the living room, and the living room seems owned by us. The restant is at first floor and provises the excellent food.

We stayed one night in the middle of our Romantic route drive. The room, though small, was clean with clean sheets and towers. Strong WiFi in the room. Furniture was old but in working condition. Comes with heater. The morning breakfast was quite good with some fresh fruits, bread jam, egg and ham. The reception was quite friendly and checking in was a breeze as the keys were available from key vending machine with a given password for assigned room. They took the trouble to place our group in an assigned table for breakfast. You could get some great photo shoots of the River Wornitz and the Harburg Castle just a little walk from the hotel and the view was worth it. For the price can stay again.

We stayed here as an overnight stop on a long journey to Austria from the the UK and were very pleased. The parking is convenient as it it’s right next to the stairway to the rooms, the rooms were very clean, modern and perfectly adequate for our needs with comfortable beds and ensuite. The food we had in the restaurant at dinner was absolutely lovely; very good sized portions, meat cooked to perfection and extremely good value for money. Breakfast the following morning was also very good with a varied selection. Would highly recommend this guest house and restaurant!

I stayed at the Straussen for three nights and really enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room I stayed in was very spacious. In total I was in Germany for three and half weeks and the best meal I had was at the Straussen, Pork Knuckle.

Its a budget hotel around 50 euro a night so don't expect the top but you will get a good hearty breakfast and a friendly welcome. Room small and noisy, bed rather small for me but I cannot really say anything too bad about this hotel as it was fairly priced and I was happy with what we got. Good wifi included, restaurant for dinner is good with a equally good "golden lamb" restaurant only 20 meters away. Nice castle and a few other things to have a look at around here or just sit and drink cheap beer and talk to the other travelers and guests.
