August 2016, 1 night stay, family of three. Very nice lodging. Very clean, roomy and modern. Perfect location to experience Fussen, surrounding area and castles. Did not eat in lower level restaurant but place was packed; looked good. Parking is a bit tight but available. We parked for free overnight couple blocks away near grocery store. Excellent location, highly recommend.

Fussen is a great base of operations for visiting Mad King Ludwig's castles, and the Hotel Zum Hechten is a great place to stay, located close to the Abbey, museum, and fortress, all worth seeing. The hotel offers a nice breakfast and has an attached restaurant. Try their speciality, the pike (hetchen) fished from the Lech River.

We had booked and paid for a room at the Luidtpoltpark Hotel, but they wouldn't honor our reservations and sent us here. Very small hotel which is difficult to find. No elevator. Stayed in their nicest room. If we hadn't been expecting luxury at the other hotel, we would have been decently happy here. No amenities. Staff was accommodating, but...

We drove to this hotel, and our GPS brought us straight to the parking lot in the back. The receptionist on duty was friendly and helped us carry the suitcases up the stairs since there are no elevators. The room for 3 people was good size and in a very good condition. That particular night was relatively cool, and we...

Stayed at hotel after visiting castle and area. Fussen is a beautiful town but not very welcoming. Restaurants close down at 9pm SHARP and shop owners seem a little done with tourists. The hotel was clean and convenient and had a brand new beautiful bathroom and shower. Finding the hotel was impossible. We had a car but ended up paying...

We were on a cycling holiday and stayed in this hotel at the beginning and at the end of a Bavarian round trip. Great hotel, large comfortable room, huge bed, with individual duvets, great buffet style breakfast, large shower. The service in the bar was a bit on the slow side but snappy once you'd got their attention. Good food,...

We stayed here on June 11th and it was a wonderful experience. The room was way bigger than expected, with a couch and table area as well as a bathroom off the entrance. The decor was very nice, breakfast was great, and the service was exemplary! Parking cost an additional 5 euros, which seemed very reasonable, and the parking lot...

The location of this hotel is perfect (10 min. walk from the train station). Step out the front door and you're on a quaint cobblestone street in the middle of the old city within walking distance to restaurants, stores, and the Fuessen castle (worth seeing for sure)! We stayed in a twin room on the second floor for three nights....

This is a unique little hotel. The rooms were unusually large with a bathroom off the entry with closet, giving you a separate sleeping and hanging out area. We stayed here 2 nights...long enough to get to know the staff which are a 3 generation family that all still work in the business. The breakfast buffet is a huge affair...

This hotel was perfect for our 2 night stay in Fussen. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, personally shown our room, the breakfast room, and where to park in back. We had a double room on the 2nd floor that was a good size, nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. There is no lift, which is the only drawback. Wifi connection...
